- In a large skillet, melt butter. Add the celery, mushrooms and onion; saute until tender. Stir in the seasonings. Place bread cubes in a large bowl. Stir in vegetable mixture. Add broth; toss to coat., Transfer to a 3-qt. slow cooker coated with cooking spray. Cover and cook on low for 3-4 hours or until heated through.

- Combine sugar, oil, ketchup, vinegar, onion, and Worcestershire sauce in a blender; puree until dressing is smooth. Transfer dressing to a resealable container.
- Pierce garlic clove with a tooth pick; drop garlic into the dressing. Cover and refrigerate until ready to serve.

- Rub the egg yolks with a spoon through a fine sieve. Add the sugar, salt and mustard and rub into a fine paste. Stir in the vinegar.
- Whip the cream until soft peaks form. Add the whipped cream, curd cream or sour cream into the egg mixture. Pour the dressing over the salad ingredients and serve.
- Traditionally, this dressing is served with butterhead lettuce leaves only, with the leftover whites from the hard-boiled eggs chopped finely and sprinkled on top. In addition to lettuce, you may use tomatoes, cucumber and onion to make the salad.

FINNISH HORSERADISH CREAM (SALAD DRESSING)
A popular dressing from Finland. My girlfriend is Aussie born from Finnish parents, this is her mum's traditional recipe. Serve on a simple salad of lots of lettuce, at least 2 varieties. Also fabulous with smoked salmon. A small portion (1 teaspoon) of chopped dill or chives can be added if you have it on hand. This is the basic recipe.
