This Tuna Pasta Salad with shell noodles, peas, tuna, celery, and Greek yogurt is fast, healthy, and a dish your whole family can enjoy!

8 ounces small shells pasta (, or your favorite bite-size pasta)
7 ounces canned albacore white tuna, packed in water (, drained)
2 ribs celery (, chopped)
1/4 cup red onion (, chopped)
1 cup frozen peas
1/2 cup mayonnaise
1/2 cup plain Greek yogurt
dried dill weed (, to taste, optional)
salt and freshly ground black pepper (, to taste)

Steps:

  • Cook noodles according to package instructions, until al dente. Drain.
  • In a large bowl add chopped onion and celery, peas, cooked pasta, and drained tuna.
  • In a separate bowl, mix the mayo and Greek yogurt.
  • Stir half of the sauce into the pasta mixture and toss to evenly coat. Season with salt and pepper and dried dil, to taste.
  • Refrigerate pasta and remaining sauce separately, covered, for 30 min. Stir in remaining sauce and serve immediately.

This is something I have been making for years for my family. Taking the fixins of a tuna sandwich and combining with pasta makes for a great lunch or side dish. Serve cold. My boys always ask for "tuna-noodle"

1 (12 ounce) package egg noodles, cooked
2 (12 1/2 ounce) cans tuna in water
1 cup green onion, chopped
3 hard-boiled eggs, chopped
4 tablespoons mayonnaise (add more if desired)
1 teaspoon season salt
1 teaspoon ground pepper
2 tablespoons dill relish or 2 tablespoons chopped dill pickles
1 cup celery, chopped

Steps:

  • Boil water in a 5 quart pan and cook egg noodles to al dente.
  • Drain and let cool. (I refrigerate while preparing the rest)
  • Drain Tuna and combine with onion, celery mayonnaise, dill pickle relish add chopped boiled eggs. Mix well.
  • Add season salt and ground pepper and mix well.
  • Taste. Add more seasoning or mayonnaise to your liking.
  • Best if chilled for at least 1 hour.
  • Serve cold.

8 ounces elbow macaroni pasta
1/2 small red onion, cut into 1/4-inch pieces (about 1/2 cup)
2 ribs celery, cut into 1/4-inch pieces (about 1 cup), plus 1/4 cup celery heart leaves
1/2 jalapeno, seeded if desired, and finely chopped (about 1 tablespoon)
1 (5-ounce) can solid tuna in water, drained and flaked
6 tablespoons mayonnaise, preferably Hellmann's
1/4 cup low-fat buttermilk
1 1/2 teaspoons fresh lemon juice
2 tablespoons dill relish
1 teaspoon grainy mustard

Steps:

  • In a pot of boiling, salted water, cook pasta until al dente, 7 to 8 minutes. Drain, then transfer to large bowl to cool slightly.
  • While pasta cools, soak onion in cold water. Drain, then stir into pasta along with celery, celery leaves, jalapeno and tuna. 8 oz. Chunk Light Tuna (in water), drained well
16 oz. Cooked Elbow Macaroni
1 to 1 1/4 c Mayonnaise
6 tsp Dill Pickle Cubes
1 tsp Lemon Juice
1/2 tsp Salt
1/2 tsp Black Pepper
1/4 tsp Onion Powder
pinch of Dried Thyme, crushed between your fingers
1 tbsp. Dried Parsley, fresh is good too

Steps:

  • Begin by emptying the tuna into a mesh strainer and drain well.
  • Next, cook the pasta. Bring water to a boil, add some salt to water then add the pasta and boil for 10 minutes.
  • While the pasta cooks, prepare the dressing mixture. In a medium mixing bowl add mayonnaise, pickles, lemon juice, and seasonings and combine.
  • Add the drained tuna to wet mixture and combine.
  • Finally, drain the cooked pasta and add it to tuna wet mixture and combine. May be served warm or chilled.

1 cup mayonnaise
3 tablespoons lemon juice

1 cup peas

1 pound Cavatappi noodles, cooked per package directions and cooled slightly
3 cans, albacore tuna - drained (I use in water)
1 1/4 - 1 1/2 cup mayo
3/4 teaspoon kosher salt
3/4 teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon dried dill
2 cups green peas (frozen and thawed) or canned (and drained)
2 chopped green onions *optional

Steps:

  • In a large bowl add the cooked noodles, 1 1/4 cups mayo, salt, pepper, peas, green onions*, and dill. Mix until combined.
  • Using a fork, gently flake the tuna from the can trying to leave some chunks. Gently mix.
  • Cover and chill for at least one hour. *Note: noodles will suck up the mayo as it chills. If need be add up to 1/4 cup more mayo per your likeness.

1 (1 pound) box orecchiette pasta
3 tablespoons chopped fresh dill

2 tablespoons red wine vinegar
3 tablespoons olive oil
1 pint cherry tomatoes, cut in half

  • Drain tuna and reserve oil. Bring a large saucepan of water to a boil over high heat. Stir in pasta and cook until just done, about 8 minutes. Pour into a colander and drain under cool running water. Place reserved oil in a large bowl. Add dill, salt, pepper, lemon juice, lime juice, vinegar and olive oil, whisking to combine. Add tuna, pasta, tomatoes, garbanzo beans and spinach, tossing to combine. Serve immediately or cover and chill for up to 2 hours.
