Take a bite of this fresh, crisp Halloween snack for kids-if you dare! You can get four "vampire lips" out of one apple, but be ready to make more-your little ones will love the festive treat, guaranteed.

Number Of Ingredients 4

1 Granny Smith apple, cored and cut into 8 wedges
4 tablespoons creamy peanut butter
24 to 28 mini marshmallows
8 blanched almonds

Steps:

  • Spread one side of each apple wedge with peanut butter. Top 1 wedge with a row of 6 to 7 mini marshmallows to mimic teeth, pressing into peanut butter to adhere. Top with a second wedge and press together. Place 1 almond on each side of lips, with pointed end sticking out to mimic fangs. Repeat with remaining ingredients.

If you are looking for a real Mexican cocktail, you just found it! This drink combines, in one glass, the best of Mexico: tequila and sangrita (Mexican's favorite tequila chaser). Don't look for cheap tequila; if you like the good stuff, don't be afraid to mix it.

1 ½ fluid ounces silver tequila (100% agave)
3 ounces sangrita (Mexican-style bloody mary mix with orange and lime)
1 ½ ounces citrus-flavored soda (such as Squirt®)
½ lime, juiced
1 pinch Mexican-style chili powder with lime (such as Tajin® fruit seasoning)
1 pinch chili-lime seasoning (such as Tajin®)

Steps:

  • Fill a highball glass with ice cubes; pour in tequila, sangrita, citrus soda, lime juice, and chili-lime seasoning. Stir to mix well.

½ cup miniature fish-shaped crackers (such as Goldfish®), or as needed

Steps:

  • Core apple and cut into 8 slices. Spread 1 tablespoon peanut butter on 1 side of an apple slice. Press fish crackers tail-first into peanut butter to form teeth. Repeat with another apple slice and gently put on top of first slice to form a mouth. Repeat with remaining apple slices.

Steps:

  • Slice the apple into eight wedges, creating pieces about the size of lips.
  • Cut 3 mini marshmallows in half crosswise and 1 in half diagonally.
  • Spread peanut butter on one side of an apple slice, then stick the cut marshmallows to the peanut butter to create a spooky smile. Spread peanut butter on another slice of apple and place on top of marshmallows to create a mouth.
  • Repeat with the remaining ingredients to create 3 more vampire smiles.
  • Enjoy!

1 package (14.1 ounces) refrigerated pie pastry
3 ounces cream cheese, softened
1/3 cup walnut butter
1 large egg, beaten
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup cranberry juice
1-1/2 cups fresh or frozen cranberries, thawed
Miniature marshmallows

Steps:

  • On a lightly floured surface, unroll pastry. Using a round 3-in. cutter, cut out seven circles from each sheet. Place 1/2 teaspoon of cream cheese and 1/2 teaspoon walnut butter in the center of each pastry. Brush egg around edges. Fold pastry over; press down around filling to seal. Brush tops with egg., Transfer to ungreased baking sheets. Bake at 400° for 13-15 minutes or until golden brown. Cool for 1 minute before removing from pans to wire racks., For sauce, in a small saucepan, combine sugar and juice. Bring to a boil; cook until liquid is thick and syrupy. Remove from the heat; cool slightly. Place cranberries in a blender; cover and process until chopped. Add syrup; process until smooth., Cut marshmallows in half diagonally to resemble fangs. When pastries are cool enough to handle, pry open slightly and dip in syrup; add fangs.
