ALL-BRAN WAFFLES SUPREME W/HOMEMADE JAM
These delicious All-Bran Waffles are a healthy alternative to ALL-BRAN muffins. I started making them in 1975, and still have the original recipe pamphlet from the Kellog Co. Instead of the usual butter and syrup on the top, I only use my homemade strawberry, rhubarb freezer jam. Naturally I freeze quite a few to enjoy at another time. - Gather all the cooking ingredients. Separate the eggs, and beat the yolks slightly. Add the milk and ALL-BRAN to the egg yolks. Let this soak while you sift together all the dry ingredients.
- Add the sifted dry ingredients into the liquid mixture. Beat the egg whites till stiff.
- Fold in the soft butter, then gently fold in the beaten egg whites. You might have to add a little milk, if the batter is to thick. to get the rig Start heating the waffle maker. Bake in the hot waffle maker until no steam is visible. This recipe makes 6-8 waffles.
- A picture of my trusty ole, harvest gold color waffle maker. If you flip the grids over and it becomes a double grill! Also the ancient All-Bran recipe cookbook, is shown.
- I usually make a larger recipe, then freeze them for later use. They don't last long.. they make a great evening snack!... LOL

THE BEST WAFFLES
These are literally the best waffles I've ever eaten - we make them for special occasions. They are made with lots of eggs and cream and taste delicious. Serve with maple syrup, confectioners' sugar, and fresh strawberries or other fruit.

- Preheat a waffle iron according to manufacturer's instructions.
- Combine butter, sugar, vanilla sugar, and salt in a large bowl; beat with an electric mixer until smooth and creamy. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
- Combine flour and baking powder in a bowl. Beat into butter mixture 1/2 cup at a time, alternating with cream. Add a dash of sparkling water in the end to loosen up the batter.
- Spray the preheated waffle iron with cooking spray. Pour batter into waffle iron, working in batches, and cook according to manufacturer's instructions, 3 to 5 minutes per waffle.

- 1. Stir together flour, sugar, baking powder and salt. Set aside.2. In medium mixing bowl, beat egg yolks. Stir in milk and Kellogg's® All-Bran® cereal. Let stand about 2 minutes or until cereal softens. Add shortening. Beat well. Add flour mixture, stirring only until combined. 3. Beat egg whites until stiff but not dry. Fold into batter.4. Bake in preheated waffle iron, at medium heat, about 8 minutes or until no steam is visible.

GRANDMA B'S SUPER WAFFLES
This was my grandma's favorite waffle recipe. It has become a family favorite enjoyed on special occasions not only by her grandchildren but great-great grandchildren as well. The clipping is yellow with age clipped I suspect from the local daily paper many many years ago.

- note: if you do not have sour milk or buttermilk measure 2 tablespoons vinegar into your 2-cup measuring cup and fill to the two-cup mark with sweet milk and let it stand while you prepare other ingredients.
- Sift together: 2 cups all-purpose flour 3 teaspoons baking powder 1 teaspoon baking soda 1 teaspoon salt.
- Combine: 2 cups sour milk or butter milk 4 eggs well beaten Add the milk and eggs to dry ingredients,beat until smooth with a hand mixer or electric mixer on high speed.
- Stir in 3/4 cup melted margarine or salad oil.
- Bake in preheated waffle iron until crisp and golden. For large maker 2 cups for small maker 1 cup batter.
- Serve with your favorite toppings.
