A different way to add some kick to those Bloody Marys. Don't forget to garnish with a celery stalk or pickled asparagus! Cook time includes chill time.

1/2 cup fresh lime juice
4 1/2 teaspoons wasabi
6 cups low-sodium V8 juice (V-8)
3 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
1 1/4 teaspoons hot pepper sauce
3/4 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 cups vodka

Steps:

  • Combine lime juice and wasabi with a whisk, until wasabi dissolves.
  • Combine wasabi mixture, veggie juice, Worcestershire sauce, pepper sauce and salt in a pitcher; chill.
  • Stir in vodka and serve over ice.

6 ounces tomato juice
1 1/2 ounces vodka
1 teaspoon wasabi paste
lime wedge
fresh ground black pepper
1 dash Worcestershire sauce
1 dash hot sauce (optional)
ice
1 stalk celery (to garnish)
celery salt

Steps:

  • Place the wasabi paste in small bowl. Stir in vodka until blended.
  • Mix the tomato juice, Worcestershire Sauce, hot sauce, and pepper. Combine with vodka and wasabi mixture.
  • Pour celery salt in a saucer (or, use a Bloody Mary drink rimmer). Rub a highball glass rim with the lime wedge.
  • Dip the wet rim in the celery salt.
  • Fill a glass with ice. Pour in the cocktail mixture. Squeeze the lime wedge into the glass. Stir and garnish with the celery stalk.
