WORRY FREE ICE CREAM



Worry Free Ice Cream image

This is a lower-fat, satisfying substitute for ice cream. The evaporated milk lends richness without the fat of cream. Try substituting 3/4 cup fresh fruit puree and 1 teaspoon vanilla for the 1 tablespoon vanilla, or add some grated chocolate. This dessert is best eaten fresh, like soft-serve.

½ cup white sugar
1 tablespoon vanilla extract

Steps:

  • Combine evaporated milk, sugar and vanilla. Freeze in an ice cream maker according to manufacturer's instructions.

2 cups uncooked long grain rice
3 1/2 cups water
1/3 cup cooking oil
1/2 cup soya sauce
1/2 envelope onion soup mix

Steps:

  • Prehaeat oven to 350 degrees.
  • Combine all ingredients in casserole dish.
  • Cover and bake for 1 hour.
  • Stir once after 40 minutes.
