A refreshing yogurt drink recipe that's full of protein, calcium, and uses real ingredients.

1/2 cup (115 g) yogurt
2 tablespoons (30 ml) maple syrup or honey (optional)
1 cup (145 g) chopped fruit

Steps:

  • Place all ingredients in a blender and blend on medium-low until everything is smooth and evenly combined.
  • Pour yogurt drinks in 4-ounce (120 ml) drink containers and refrigerate for 1 hour prior to serving.

1 can frozen concentrate juice or 1 can shelf stable concentrate juice (your choice of flavors)
2 cups plain plain yogurt
30 -36 ounces water (your taste)

Steps:

  • Put all ingredients in blender and process to mix.
  • Pour into a container w/ a tight fitting lid.
  • Refrigerate.
  • Shake before pouring (has a tendency to settle and separate).

  • If serving to an infant I add 1/2 yogurt juice to 1/2 water.

Super Easy Drinkable Fruit Yogurt Shakes image

My kids love the drinkable yogurt drinks, but they're so expensive. These taste the same for a fraction of the price and couldn't be any easier to make. You can substitute fresh or frozen fruit for the jam if you like, but this does affect the texture some and if your kids are picky like mine are, every little change is a potential issue. You can experiment with using more or less jam depending on your own personal taste. If your family is very picky about texture, you can just add about a tablespoon or so of DRY gelatin powder (any flavor) INSTEAD of the jam and you'll get the absolute smoothest shake (plus you'll have that lovely artificial color that some kids seem to think is necessary).
