10 chicken drumsticks (2 lb.)
salt and pepper
1 cup barbecue sauce
1 tablespoon hot sauce
2 teaspoons dried oregano
2 teaspoons ground cumin

Steps:

  • Spray a 13x9 inch baking pan with cooking spray.
  • Put drumsticks in the baking dish and sprinkle with salt and pepper.
  • Bake at 375 degrees for 30 minutes.
  • In a bowl, mix together the remaining ingredients.
  • Take drumsticks out of the oven and pour sauce mixture over them.
  • Bake the drumsticks for 30 minutes or until juice run clear.

1/2 cup Kraft Zesty Italian Dressing
16 chicken legs
1 1/2 cups flour
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper
1/4 cup canola oil

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. Place chicken legs in a Ziploc bag or 2. Add dressing to bag and shake. Place in refrigerator for 4 hours. Remember to rotate chicken a couple of times.
  • In another Ziploc bag, place flour, salt and pepper and shake to mix. I made 8 drumsticks at a time. Place 8 drumsticks in the bag with the flour mixture. Shake.
  • Place oil in large skillet. Place the chicken in the skillet. As it gets brown, turn the chicken. All you want is a good brown. The chicken will finish cooking in the oven.
  • Place the chicken in a 13 x 9 cake pan. Once those are done do the other eight. When they are all done, place in oven for 35 minutes.

Chicken drumsticks are marinated in mustard, beer, red pepper flakes, garlic, salt, and pepper to make this simple tasty dinner.

½ cup light beer
⅓ cup prepared yellow mustard
2 cloves garlic, chopped
½ teaspoon red pepper flakes
½ teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon black pepper
2 pounds chicken drumsticks

Steps:

  • Combine beer, mustard, garlic, pepper flakes, salt, and pepper in a 1-gallon resealable plastic bag. Add chicken drumsticks; turn to coat evenly. Seal bag, squeezing out all the air.
  • Let chicken marinate in the refrigerator, at least 2 hours and preferably overnight.
  • Preheat oven to 425 degrees F (220 degrees C). Place drumsticks and sauce into a baking dish, discarding the plastic bag.
  • Transfer drumsticks and marinade to a baking dish and cover with aluminum foil.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes. Check chicken and remove cover if desired. Continue to bake until chicken is no longer pink at the bone and the juices run clear, about 15 more minutes. An instant-read thermometer inserted near the bone should read 165 degrees F (74 degrees C).

This is so easy and so delicious! You can change out the currant jelly for another choice, your favorite. Also, I use other chicken parts (parts are parts!) If you try other than the drumsticks, be sure to check your cooking time. This is great with rice, a simple romaine and tomato salad, and an ice cold margarita!

1/4 cup currant jelly
1/4 cup chili sauce (can be found on the ketchup aisle)
1 tablespoon vinegar
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1/8 teaspoon garlic powder
3 dashes bottled hot pepper sauce
8 chicken drumsticks (about a pound and a half)

Steps:

  • For the sauce: Combine all of the ingredients except the chicken drumsticks in a small saucepan. Cook over low heat about 5 minutes or until bubbly, stirring occasionally to melt the jelly. Remove skin from chicken, if desired. Rinse chicken;pat dry.
  • Grill chicken on the rack of an uncovered grill directly over medium coals for 35 to 45 minutes or until chicken is tender and no longer pink, turning once halfway through grilling time and brushing with sauce frequently during the last 10 minutes of grilling.
