These are the prefect chocolate chip cookies! Made with vegetable oil instead of butter and they contain both almond and vanilla extracts!

2 ½ cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
½ teaspoon salt
1 cup vegetable oil
1 cup packed brown sugar
½ cup white sugar
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 teaspoon almond extract
1 cup semisweet chocolate chips

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Stir together the flour, baking soda and salt; set aside.
  • In a large bowl, cream together the vegetable oil, brown sugar and white sugar until smooth. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla and almond extracts. Blend in the dry ingredients, then fold in the chocolate chips. Drop by rounded spoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheets.
  • Bake for 8 to 10 minutes in the preheated oven. Allow cookies to cool on baking sheet for 5 minutes before removing to a wire rack to cool completely.

These are my own special cookies that are so good, you'll have to make a batch every day!

Number Of Ingredients 9

1 cup butter flavored shortening
¾ cup white sugar
¾ cup brown sugar
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 cups all-purpose flour
½ teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
2 cups semisweet chocolate chips

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease cookie sheets.
  • In a large bowl, cream together the butter flavored shortening, white sugar and brown sugar until smooth. Beat in the eggs, one at a time then stir in the vanilla. Combine the flour, baking powder and salt; stir into the creamed mixture. Adjust the amount of chocolate chips to your liking, then stir them in by hand using a wooden spoon. Drop dough by heaping spoonfuls onto the prepared cookie sheets. Clumps of dough should be about 3 inches apart.
  • Bake for 7 minutes in the preheated oven, until brown around the edges. Let cool for 20 minutes. Eat and enjoy!

I was craving something light, sweet, and smoothie-like tonight but wasn't sure what. And then it hit me - a drinkable chocolate chip cookie! I set out here on Zaar to see what I could find and didn't find much. So, I started looking for some edible cookie dough recipes to take inspiration from, and this is what I came up with. As the title suggests, I consider this an ongoing experiment. Feel free to contribute your suggestions! Recipe may be doubled, tripled, etc. according to the size of your blender.

1/4 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 teaspoon melted margarine (approx.)

  • Pour milk, melted margarine, and vanilla into blender, followed by the brown sugar and cocoa.
  • Blend until well mixed, and serve with about four ice cubes.
