Steps:

  • Pre-heat the Air Fryer to 390 degrees.
  • Whisk together the flour, salt and the Seasoning of Choice
  • Turn the chicken through the flour mixture, then into the egg, then back into the flour mixture again. Shake off excess flour very well. Spray the chicken with cooking spray lightly.
  • Place the 4 chicken thighs into the fryer basket. Then place that into the bottom of the AirFryer cooking compartment. Cook for 25 minutes or until the chicken reaches 180 degrees. You can turn the chicken over halfway and spray again if desired.

2 teaspoons extra-virgin olive oil
1 teaspoon smoked paprika
¾ teaspoon garlic powder

  • Preheat an air fryer to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C).
  • Pat chicken thighs dry with a paper towel and brush the skin-side of each piece with olive oil. Place chicken thighs, skin-side down, in a single layer on a plate.

Steps:

  • Preheat the air fryer to 390°F.
  • In a medium bowl, mix the breadcrumbs with oregano, paprika and garlic powder until well combined.
  • Spray the chicken with cooking spray, then dredge in the breadcrumbs mixture. Shake off excess breading. Repeat for the remaining chicken.

1 teaspoon dried thyme

2 tablespoons olive oil
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour

Steps:

4 medium bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs
1 cup buttermilk
¼ cup all-purpose flour
¼ cup plain bread crumbs
2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
½ teaspoon ground paprika
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon onion powder
½ teaspoon black pepper
nonstick cooking spray

Steps:

  • Place chicken thighs and buttermilk in a non-reactive container with a lid or a resealable plastic bag. Marinate in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour or overnight.
  • Remove chicken from the refrigerator. Pour off buttermilk and let chicken rest on the counter while preparing the breading mixture.
  • Combine flour, bread crumbs, Parmesan cheese, paprika, garlic powder, salt, onion powder, and black pepper in a large, shallow bowl or pie plate; whisk or stir with a fork until evenly combined.
  • Preheat the air fryer to 375 to 380 degrees F (190 to 195 degrees C). Spray air fryer basket lightly with nonstick spray.

If they aren't quite done but the breading is getting dark, just close the basket again and let them rest, or you can turn the air fryer on again for a few minutes and check again. 4 large or 8 small chicken thighs, skin on
1 tbsp sunflower or olive oil
1 tbsp plain flour
seasoning of choice (use salt and pepper, or ½-1 tsp of either smoky BBQ, ras-el-hanout, garlic granules, celery salt or garam masala)

Steps:

  • Toss the chicken thighs in the oil, making sure they are all well-coated.
  • Mix the flour with the seasoning, then toss with the chicken thighs - it will be a very light coating, but you can double the flour and seasoning if you prefer a thicker coating.
  • Arrange the chicken in one layer on the tray of an air fryer without a paddle, and program to cook for 35 mins. Check the thighs are cooked by pulling the flesh on the underside of one away from the bone - it should come away easily and there should be no pink remaining. Cook for another 5-10 mins if needed. The skin should have bubbled and crisped up, and any excess fat from the chicken will have dripped into the base of the fryer (you can discard this). Don't leave the chicken in the fryer, or the steam will make the skin soft again.
