- Chop up your whole chickens into drumsticks, thighs, wings, and breasts. Put to one side.
- Create your production line. Crack eggs into a bowl and mix with a fork. Place flour in a bowl and season well with chicken seasoning, salt, and pepper. Place breadcrumbs into a bowl and mix with half your KFC rub.
- Toss the chicken in half your KFC rub. Then load chicken into the flour mixture, then into the egg, and then into the breadcrumbs bowl. Make sure each piece of chicken is well coated from each bowl.
- Place the KFC chicken into the air fryer basket on a single layer.
- Cook for 12 minutes at 180c/360f. Then turn and cook for a further 4 minutes at the same temperature. If doing a big batch doing in lots making sure you on don't over fill the air fryer.
- Serve warm in your old KFC bucket.

- In a large bowl, mix the eggs and buttermilk, whisk to combine.
- In another bowl, mix the flour, cornstarch, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, celery salt, pepper, mustard, ginger, thyme, basil, and oregano. Whisk to combine.
- Preheat your air fryer to 375 degrees for 5 minutes.
- Dip your chicken into the buttermilk mixture, let any excess drip off.
- Then place the chicken into the flour mixture and press the flour onto the chicken to make sure it sticks. Shake off any excess.
- Spray the basket with olive oil, and then place the chicken into the basket. Generously spray your chicken with cooking spray. Air fry for 25-30 minutes, flipping halfway through and spraying with more cooking spray.
- Chicken is done with it reaches 165 degrees F, and the outside is golden brown.

Steps:
- Soak the chicken legs in buttermilk for up to 24 hours before starting this recipe.
- Beat the eggs in one bowl and the flour and spices in a second bowl. Stir the spices well into the flour and beat the eggs.
- Place an oven-safe cooling rack overtop of a baking sheet.
- Remove chicken one piece at a time from buttermilk.
- Dredge each chicken leg in the flour, then the eggs, and then the flour once again. Place the coated drumstick on the cooling rack and repeat with remaining chicken.
- Preheat Air Fryer to 390°.
- Place Parchment round in bottom of air fryer so chicken doesn't stick to bottom.
- Lay chicken in a single layer in Ninja Foodie or Air Fryer so the pieces aren't touching.
- Air Fry for 13 minutes. Flip over. If there are any dry spots where the flour is showing, you can spritz with olive oil. Fry for another 13 minutes. Check that the internal temperature is 165°. If not then cook for 5 minutes at a time until done.
- Enjoy!
- 6+ cups oil of choice (peanut or vegetable oil) (for deep frying version)

- Add chicken legs to the buttermilk and allow to soak for at least 30 minutes.
- Combine panko, flour, and seasonings to a bowl. Mix well.
- Remove chicken from the buttermilk and place in a separate bowl.
- Dip the chicken into the flour mixture, into the buttermilk, and back into the flour mixture.
- Lay chicken legs on a sheet as you coat them.
- Place a liner into the air fryer to help keep the chicken from sticking.
- Preheat the air fryer to 390 degrees.
- Spray both sides of the chicken with olive oil and then place in the air fryer once it has preheated..
- Cook the chicken legs for 10 minutes, then flip and spray with oil again before cooking for the remaining 10 minutes. Make sure the temperature of the chicken has reached 160 degrees Fahrenheit before removing it from the Air Fryer.
