1 burrito sized flour tortilla
Cooking spray

Steps:

  • Spray both sides of tortilla with cooking spray.
  • Fold a piece of foil double thickness the size of the tortilla.
  • Fold into the basket of your air fryer.
  • Place a larger ramekin (or something similar) into the middle of the shell.
  • Air fry for 5 minutes on 400 degrees.
  • Carefully remove ramekin (it's HOT!!) and foil. Place ramekin back into the center, air fry 2 minutes more.

Instead of using deep-fried salad shells, this recipe calls for baking flour tortillas in the microwave. Doing so keeps all the flavor and reduces the fat.-Taste of Home Test Kitchen

1 pound ground beef
1 envelope taco seasoning
2/3 cup water
1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
4 flour tortillas (9 inches)
Refrigerated butter-flavored spray
1 can (16 ounces) refried beans
1/2 cup salsa
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
Shredded lettuce, sliced ripe olives, chopped onions and sour cream

Steps:

  • In a large skillet, cook beef over medium heat until no longer pink; drain. Stir in taco seasoning, water and cumin. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat; simmer, uncovered, for 5-7 minutes or until thickened. , Meanwhile, place each tortilla in a microwave-safe 7-in.-diameter shallow bowl, forming a shell. Spritz with butter spray. Microwave two at a time on high for 2 to 2-1/2 minutes or until crisp and lightly browned. Carefully remove from bowls to serving plates., In a microwave-safe bowl, combine refried beans and salsa. Cover and microwave on high for 1-1/2 to 2 minutes or until heated through. Spoon into tortilla shells. Top with the beef mixture and cheese. Serve with lettuce, olives, onions and sour cream.

½ cup Italian sweet cream-flavored creamer (from Coffee-Mate®)
1 large egg
1 teaspoon cinnamon sugar
nonstick cooking spray
1 tablespoon pure maple syrup

Steps:

  • Preheat an air fryer to 360 degrees F (180 degrees C) for 5 minutes.
  • Meanwhile, slice angel food cake loaf into 1-inch slices. Cut each slice into thirds, then cut each in half so you will get 6 cubes from each slice.
  • Whisk creamer, egg, and cinnamon sugar together in a bowl. Dip each cube into the liquid and place cubes into the air fryer basket.
  • Air0fry for 6 minutes. Spray with nonstick spray. Reduce heat to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) and air-fry for 5 more minutes. Serve immediately with maple syrup for dipping.

These cute tortilla bowls are great as DIY tostadas. Just set out all the fillings and have everyone make their own. The bigger the tortilla, the bigger the mold should be. Just make sure it fits in your air fryer. I used an 8-inch flour tortilla and a 4 1/2-inch souffle dish.

1 (8 inch) flour tortilla
1 (4 1/2-inch) souffle dish

Steps:

  • Preheat the air fryer to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
  • Heat tortilla in a large skillet or directly on the grates of a gas stove until soft and pliable. Place tortilla inside souffle dish, patting bottom down and fluting tortilla up the sides of the dish.
  • Air fry until tortilla starts to turn golden brown, 4 to 5 minutes.
  • Remove tortilla bowl from souffle dish and place upside down in the basket. Air fry until golden brown, an additional 1 to 2 minutes.

I do not care for the premade taco shells sold at the supermarket. So I developed this recipe in my Cuisinart® Air Fryer Oven. These taco shells are crispy, golden brown, and ready to be stuffed with your favorite fillings. The best part is they are oil free and greaseless.

4 (4 inch) street taco corn tortillas (such as Mission®)

Steps:

  • Preheat an air fryer to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C).
  • Place a mini muffin tin pan upside down the air fryer basket. Position tortillas in the indents of the muffin tin. Place the basket on the lowest rack of the air fryer oven.
  • Air fry until golden brown and crispy, about 3 minutes. Remove tortillas from mini muffin tin pan and place upside down in the basket. Air fry until bottom side is crispy and golden brown, 1 minute more.

2 tubes (8 ounces each) refrigerated crescent rolls
1/2 cup salsa, plus more for serving
1/2 cup sour cream
2 tablespoons taco seasoning
1 cup shredded rotisserie chicken
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
Optional: Shredded lettuce, guacamole and additional sour cream

Steps:

  • Preheat air fryer to 375°. Unroll one tube crescent dough and separate into two rectangles; press perforations to seal. Repeat with second tube. In a bowl, combine salsa, sour cream and taco seasoning. Spoon chicken onto the left side of each rectangle; top with salsa mixture. Sprinkle with cheese. Fold dough over filling; pinch edges to seal., In batches if necessary, place pockets on tray in air-fryer basket. Cook until golden brown, 13-15 minutes. Cut in half. Serve with salsa and desired toppings.
