Almond-Date Smoothie image

Start your morning off right with this easy breakfast smoothie. Dates, almond milk, and a banana help make up this hearty smoothie.

Number Of Ingredients 6

1.5 cup unsweetened almond milk
0.5 cup medjool dates, pitted
1 small banana
2 tablespoon almond butter
1 tablespoon honey (optional)
1 cup ice cubes

Steps:

  • In a medium bowl combine the almond milk and dates; cover and chill overnight. (Or place dates in a heatproof bowl and cover with boiling water; let stand 10 minutes. Drain and cool slightly.)
  • In a blender combine milk, dates, banana, almond butter, and if desired, honey. Cover and blend 30 seconds or until smooth. Add ice and blend until smooth.

2-3 pitted dates, (Medjool)
2 tablespoons almond butter
1 cup unsweetened almond milk
1 cup ice
1 ripe banana
2 tablespoons hemp seeds

Steps:

  • Cut each date into 4 or 5 pieces.
  • Place dates, almond butter and almond milk in a blender and blend until smooth.
  • Add ice, banana, and hemp seeds and blend until smooth.

2 large bananas
1.5 cups unsweetened almond milk
1 teaspoon maple syrup
6 medjool dates (remove pits)
2 tablespoons natural almond butter
2 teaspoons cinnamon

Steps:

  • Remove peels from bananas and the pits from the medjool dates.
  • Put all ingredients into a blender and blend on medium speed until a smooth consistency occurs. (2-3 minutes)
  • Serve in two glasses.

Banana Almond Date Soy Smoothie image

This vegan smoothie is amazingly rich, creamy, filling, and healthy. It has a nice texture to it from the almonds and a natural sweetness from the banana and dates. I like that there is no refined sugar added or any animal products, all good for us and the planet. I like using a frozen banana to make the drink cold, but room temperature works well too. If you want to freeze bananas, peel them before freezing. Peeling frozen bananas doesn't work! And place them separated in the freezer so they don't freeze together.

1 ripe frozen banana
10 almonds
1 -2 pitted dates
1 -2 cup plain soymilk

Steps:

  • Add banana, almonds, and dates, preferably cut into smaller pieces, in a food processor or blender. Add some of the soy milk.
  • Run the blender for roughly one minute, adding more soy milk until you like the consistency. You don't want lumps of frozen banana in the drink, so make sure it is all smoothiefied. Don't run too long, or the almonds will disappear.
  • Enjoy.
