This keto almond flour bread may be the best low carb bread recipe yet! The texture is just like wheat bread. Gluten-free, paleo, and only 5 INGREDIENTS.

2 cup Wholesome Yum Blanched Almond Flour
1/4 cup Wholesome Yum Psyllium Husk Powder
1 tbsp Baking powder
1/2 tsp Sea salt
4 large Eggs ((beaten))
1/4 cup Coconut oil ((measured solid, then melted))
1/2 cup Warm water

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (177 degrees C). Line the bottom of an 8x4 in loaf pan with parchment paper.
  • In a large bowl, stir together the almond flour, psyllium husk powder, baking powder, and sea salt.
  • Stir in the eggs and melted coconut oil, then finally the warm water. Try to mix it well to create air bubbles.
  • Transfer the batter to the lined baking pan. Smooth/press the top evenly with your hands, forming a rounded top.
  • Bake for 55-70 minutes, until an inserted toothpick comes out clean and the top is very hard, like a bread crust. (Important: It will pass the toothpick test before it's completely done, so make sure the top is very crusty, too.) Cool completely before removing from the pan.

2 1/2 cups almond flour
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
5 large eggs
1 1/2 tbsp honey
1 tbsp olive oil (extra virgin)
1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
Cooking spray (I use Misto)

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F, line 9 x 5 loaf pan with parchment paper and spray with cooking spray. Set aside.
  • In a large mixing bowl, add almond flour, baking soda and salt. Whisk well and set aside.
  • In another small bowl, add eggs, honey, olive oil and vinegar. Whisk well, transfer to a bowl with flour and mix with spatula until thick batter forms.
  • Transfer batter into previously prepared loaf pan, level with spatula and bake on a middle rack for 30-35 minutes or until top is golden brown and a toothpick inserted in the middle comes out dry. If your bread starts to brown before it's ready, cover the top with foil.
  • Remove from the oven, holding onto parchment paper remove loaf from the pan and let cool for 30 minutes. Slice with serrated knife and enjoy like a sandwich bread.

2 cups fermented almond flour
¼ cup softened butter
3 eggs
Herbs of your choice
1 clove finely chopped garlic, fresh or fermented

Steps:

  • 24 hours in advance, make your fermented almond flour or make it from almonds.
  • Preheat oven to 350.
  • Combine flour and softened butter. Add eggs and mix thoroughly.
  • Finely dice the herbs of your choice.
  • Mix in with flour mixture. This mixture will look more moist than other bread doughs.
  • Line a glass baking dish with parchment paper. Optionally, add fat to your parchment paper. Place mixture into baking dish. Spread evenly.
  • Bake for about an hour.
  • Slice and enjoy!

2 (.25 ounce) packages active dry yeast
2 cups warm water (110 degrees F/45 degrees C)
2 tablespoons white sugar
¼ cup olive oil
1 tablespoon salt
1 tablespoon dried basil
1 tablespoon dried oregano
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
½ cup grated Romano cheese
6 cups bread flour

Steps:

  • Mix yeast, warm water, and white sugar together in a large bowl. Set aside for five minutes, or until mixture becomes foamy.
  • Stir olive oil, salt, herbs, garlic powder, onion powder, cheese, and 3 cups flour into the yeast mixture. Gradually mix in the next three cups of flour. Dough will be stiff.
  • Knead dough for 5 to 10 minutes, or until it is smooth and rubbery. Place in an oiled bowl, and turn to cover the surface of the dough with oil. Cover with a damp linen dish towel. Allow to rise for one hour, or until the dough has doubled in size.
  • Punch dough down to release all the air. Shape into two loaves. Place loaves on a greased cookie sheet, or into two greased 9 x 5 inch loaf pans. Allow to rise until doubled in size, about a 30 minutes.
  • Bake at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for 35 minutes. Remove loaves from pan(s), and let cool on wire racks for at least 15 minutes before slicing.

1-1/4 cups all-purpose flour
3 tablespoons plus 1 teaspoon grated Parmesan cheese, divided
1-1/2 teaspoons sugar
1-1/2 teaspoons dried minced onion
1-1/4 teaspoons Italian seasoning, divided
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup sour cream
2 tablespoons plus 2 teaspoons 2% milk
4-1/2 teaspoons butter, melted
1 large egg white, lightly beaten

Steps:

  • In a small bowl, combine the flour, 3 tablespoons Parmesan cheese, sugar, onion, 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning, baking powder, baking soda and salt. In another bowl, whisk the sour cream, milk and butter. Stir into dry ingredients just until moistened., Turn onto a floured surface; knead for 1 minute. Shape into a round loaf; place on a baking sheet coated with cooking spray. With kitchen scissors, cut a 1/4-in.-deep cross in top of loaf. Brush with egg white. Sprinkle with remaining cheese and Italian seasoning., Bake at 350° for 30-35 minutes or until golden brown. Serve warm.
