Apple Cinnamon Walnut Energy Bites image

Oats, dates, apples, walnuts, and flax seeds make tasty little energy bites.

Number Of Ingredients 9

1 ½ cups Quaker® Oats (Quick or Old Fashioned, uncooked)
1 ½ cups pitted dates
2 teaspoons flax seeds
1 cup apple, peeled and chopped fine
1 teaspoon cinnamon
½ cup walnuts
2 tablespoons honey
1 pinch sea salt
¼ cup finely chopped walnuts

Steps:

  • Place oats, dates, flax seeds, apple, cinnamon, 1/2 cup walnuts, and honey in the bowl of a food processor.
  • Blend until ingredients form a sticky ball. If desired, add salt to taste preference.
  • With slightly wet hands, form about a tablespoon each into a tight ball.
  • Roll in additional chopped walnuts.
  • Refrigerate, covered, until chilled. Store leftovers in refrigerator, covered.

Steps:

These are so good!! I was experimenting with ingredients that I had in my pantry and wa-lah the apple cinnamon healthy bites were born! ENJOY!

1 cup dried apple
2 teaspoons flax seeds, ground
1 3/4 cups almonds, ground
1/3 cup honey
2 tablespoons peanut butter, creamy
cinnamon, to taste

Steps:

  • Grind up almonds in a blender or food processor until fine.
  • Finely chop dried apples in blender or food processor.
  • Mix apples, almonds, ground flaxseed, honey, peanut butter, and cinnamon in large bowl.
  • Roll into 1 1/2 inch balls.
  • Freeze overnight.
  • ENJOY!
