Steps:
- Gather the ingredients.
- Spray inside of a 3- to 4-quart slow cooker with nonstick cooking spray.
- Combine milk, brown sugar, honey, melted butter, salt, and cinnamon in slow cooker and mix well.
- Stir in oats, apple, dates or raisins or dried cranberries, and walnuts or pecans.
- Cover slow cooker and turn on low setting. Cook 5 to 7 hours until oatmeal is tender. Stir well before serving.

- In a small bowl, combine the flour, 2/3 cup sugar, baking powder and salt. Cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Stir in milk just until moistened. Spread into the bottom of a greased 4- or 5-qt. slow cooker; sprinkle apples over batter., In a small bowl, combine orange juice, honey, melted butter, cinnamon and the remaining 1/4 cup sugar; pour over apples. Cover and cook on high 2-3 hours, until apples are tender., In a small bowl, combine sour cream and confectioners' sugar. Serve with warm pudding cake.

APPLE OATMEAL PUDDING IN THE CROCK POT
This is comfort food at its best for me, and it is relatively healthy! This tastes like an apple pie with the crumb topping mixed in! This is a slight adaptation of a recipe in "Fix It and Forget it Lightly" and was credited to Sue Hamilton in Minooka, IL. This is very rich and we liked it topped with fat free cool-whip. The original recipe calls for regular white flour, I just prefer to use whole wheat pastry flour.

- Spray your slow cooker with cooking spray.
- Add the cut up apples.
- Add the rest of the ingredients.
- Mix well.
- It will look like it could not possibly be enough liquid when you first start mixing. But stick with it, it will work!
- Cover and cook on low for 4 hours.
- Serve hot or cold.

CROCK POT APPLE OATMEAL
This oatmeal is so easy! I make it right before I go to bed, and I turn the crock pot off as soon as I get up. Everyone in my house loves it! Found this in 'Fix it and Forget it.' I also have to add in reference to some of the reviews, our family likes it mushy.
