APPLE PIE PARTY MIX

Steps:

• Preheat the oven to 300 degrees F. Line 2 baking sheets with parchment paper.
• Mix together the cinnamon and rice cereal squares, dried apples, mini vanilla cookie wafers and almonds in a large bowl.
• Put the butter in a medium saucepan over medium-high heat and bring to a simmer. Stir in the brown sugar. Bring to a boil and cook for 1 minute. Remove from the heat and stir in the apple pie spice, salt and vanilla. Pour this over the cereal mixture and stir to coat completely. Spread in an even layer on the prepared baking sheets.
• Bake, stirring with a spatula after 15 minutes, until slightly golden, about 30 minutes total. Let cool, then transfer to a serving bowl.

APPLE PIE CHEX MIX

Steps:

• In large microwavable bowl, mix cereals and walnuts.
• In 2-cup microwavable measuring cup, microwave butter on High 30 seconds or until melted. Stir in brown sugar, cinnamon, ginger and nutmeg uncovered for about 1 minute, until smooth and bubbly. Pour over cereal mixture; stir until evenly coated.
• Microwave uncovered on High 4 minutes, stirring after each minute. Spread on waxed paper or foil to cool. Sprinkle apples evenly over cereal mixture.
• In small microwavable bowl, microwave white vanilla baking chips and shortening uncovered on High about 1 minute or until chips can be stirred smooth. Drizzle over cereal mixture; let stand until set. Break into bite-size pieces. Store in airtight container.

APPLE PIE SPICE MIX

Steps:

• In a small bowl, combine cinnamon, nutmeg and cardamom. Store in a sealed jar.

DELICIOUS APPLE PIE BARS

Steps:

• Preheat an oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
• Whisk together the flour and salt in a large mixing bowl. Cut in the softened butter with a knife or pastry blender until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Whisk together the egg yolks in a liquid measuring cup, then add enough milk to reach 2/3 cup of liquid. Gradually stir into the flour mixture until moistened. Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface and knead briefly. Roll about half of the dough out to fit the prepared baking dish. Place the bottom crust in the baking dish. Sprinkle the oats evenly over the crust. Roll out the top crust, and set aside.
• Mix the cornstarch and lemon juice together until smooth. Heat the cornstarch mixture in a large skillet with the apples, white sugar, brown sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg over medium heat until the apples are tender, about 15 minutes. Remove from heat, and allow to cool slightly. Spread the apple filling evenly over the oats. Cover the filling with the top crust. Pinch the edges together to seal the crusts, and brush with egg white. Cut a few slits on the top crust to vent.
• Bake in the preheated oven until golden brown and the filling has thickened, about 50 minutes.
• While pie is baking, prepare the glaze by beating the confections' sugar with 1 tablespoon of milk in a small bowl. Stir in the almond extract. Drizzle the glaze over the warm pie. Mix 1 teaspoon of sugar and 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon together in a small bowl, and sprinkle cinnamon sugar over the glaze. Cool completely before cutting into bars.

• In a large microwave-safe bowl, combine cereals and walnuts. In a small microwave-safe bowl, combine the brown sugar, butter, cinnamon, ginger and nutmeg. Microwave, uncovered, on high for 2 minutes, stirring after each minute. Pour over cereal mixture and toss to coat., Cook, uncovered, on high for 4 minutes, stirring every 2 minutes. Spread onto waxed paper to cool. Add apples. In a small microwave-safe bowl, melt baking chips and shortening; stir until smooth. Pour over mixture. Cool. Break into pieces; store in an airtight container.

CHEX APPLE PIE SNACK MIX

Steps:

• In a large bowl, mix cereals and walnuts.
• In a saucepan on medium heat add brown sugar, butter, cinnamon, ginger, and nutmeg uncovered, stiring occasionaly, until smooth and bubbly, take saucepan off of the burner and turn off the stove.
• Pour liquid mixture over cereal mixture, stir until evenly coated.
• Spread the cereal mixure onto waxed paper or foil to cool. Sprinkle the dried apples evenly over the cereal mixture.
• In a small microwavable bowl, microwave white vanilla baking chips and shortening uncovered on high about 1 minute or until chips can be stirred smooth. Drizzle over cereal mixture; let stand until set. Break into bite-size pieces.
• Store in airtight container.

APPLE SNACK MIX

Steps:

• In a large bowl, combine the first nine ingredients. Store in an airtight container. Serve snack mix in waffle cones.
