APRICOT PARTY DIP
Great appetizer, and it can be made in advance. I got this recipe from a newspaper in Arcadia, California, by Deborah Ann Neely. A tasty spread for crackers, dip for veggies, pita chips, etc.

Steps:
- Spread cream cheese in the bottom of a 2 quart casserole dish.
- Mix soy sauce (to taste) and apricot preserves. Spread over cream cheese.
- Evenly sprinkle toasted, chopped pecans over the apricot mixture.
- Top with crumbled bacon.
- Warm in oven or microwave before serving.
- (Note: I like halving the amounts and making 8 layers instead of 4. If you make it in a clear dish, it's very attractive.).

We use this dip for our breaded chicken tenders while we watch the Steelers games. You can spice it up if you wish by adding more horseradish

APRICOT DIP
I've been making this for about 6 years now, and I've always been asked to bring it again the next year This is a delicately flavored dip, requiring the crackers to be very mild and not overpowering. Club crackers work best.

- 1. Mix the first 3 ingredients well and stir in the almonds
- 2. Mold and chill at least 2 hours
- 3. Garnish with slivered almonds and serve with Club crackers

- I'm guessing at the number of servings, but it does make about 3/4 cup of sauce.
