This recipe is from my husbands late Aunt. She would always make this for Christmas and every year we all would look forward to eating it. When she finally gave me the recipe I thought that the combination sounded a little different, my husband doesn't like mushrooms, but he loves this recipe and you can't taste the mushrooms at all. This is an excellent cheese dip for dipping your favorite tortilla chips in.

Ingredients

1 pound(s) sausage
1 pound(s) hamburger
1 can(s) cream of mushroom soup
1 small onion
1 - jar of your favorite salsa
1 pound(s) velveeta mexican cheese

Steps:

Fry the sausage and hamburger, drain fat. Add mushroom soup small diced onion, salsa and cube up the velveeta cheese. Put into a crock pot on low, stirring occasionally. When melted serve with your favorite tortilla chips. Enjoy!

This has been my go-to potluck recipe for years! I'm not allowed to enter my friend's parties without it! It's always gone by the end of the night. It's super easy to make, and only dirties one dish. The flavor of the onion and green chilies with the cheese is mild yet savory. Serve with tortilla chips or Doritos.

Ingredients

2 cups sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
2 cups mozzarella cheese, shredded
2 cups mayonnaise (can be reduced to 1 cup if desired)
1 medium onion, minced
1 (4 ounce) can diced green chilies, drained
1 (4 ounce) can sliced black olives, drained (optional)
sliced pepperoni

Steps:

Preheat oven to 325 degrees.
In a casserole dish (you can use 8x8 to 9x13 sizes), mix together cheese, mayonnaise, onion, and green chilies. Spread evenly in dish.
Top with sliced pepperoni (I usually place with the edges touching but not overlapping) and sliced black olives (optional).
Bake at 325 degrees for 25-30 minutes or until cheese is melted and bubbling around the edges.
Serve hot with tortilla chips or your favorite dippers.

2 large, round dark rye bread loaves
2 8 ounce packages cream cheese, softened
1/4 pound butter, softened
1 tablespoon dry mustard
1/4 to 1/2 bottle ale
1 medium white onion, chopped

Steps:

Slice the top off rye bread, reserve tops. Scoop out the inside of bread and make a bowl. In an electric mixer combine cream cheese and butter. Add mustard and onion. Fold in beer. Mix at low speed. Make sure not to add too much beer because it will become too soft. With a spatula transfer dip to the bread bowl. Cover with the bread lid. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate overnight.;

1/2 cup mayonnaise
One 8-ounce package cream cheese, softened
1 cup grated sharp Cheddar cheese
1/2 cup grated Monterey Jack cheese
2 green onions, finely chopped
1 dash cayenne pepper
8 butter crackers, crushed, such as Ritz
Corn chips, crackers or bagel chips, for serving
8 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled

Steps:

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
In a medium bowl, mix the mayonnaise, cream cheese, Cheddar cheese, Monterey Jack cheese, green onions and cayenne pepper. Transfer the mixture to a shallow baking dish, such as a 9-inch pie pan. Top the mixture with the cracker crumbs and bake until heated through, about 15 minutes.
Remove the pan from the oven and top with the bacon. Serve immediately with corn chips, crackers or bagel chips.

1 lb cooked breakfast sausage, crumbled
2 lbs Velveeta cheese, cut into 1 inch pieces
10 ounces salsa
26 ounces crackers or 26 ounces melba rounds

Steps:

Mix cooked sausage with velveeta and salsa in large microwave safe bowl.
Microwave on high for 2-3 minutes, stirring every minute until cheese is melted and dip is smooth and creamy. Consistency will be thicker than most cheese dips due to the sausage.
May also be heated on stove top in medium saucepan over medium heat until cheese is melted.Also may be held in small crock pot on low setting for 2 hours.
Serve in a bowl with tortilla chips. May also be spooned onto melba rounds or crackers and served as an appetizer or horderves.
