AWARD WINNING CHILI

Steps:

• In a medium Dutch oven over medium-high heat add the olive oil. Add the ground meat and cook, breaking up into pieces, until browned. Add the onions, bell pepper and jalapeno and cook until softened. Drain excess grease.
• Add the tomatoes, tomato sauce, cumin, chili powder, salt, cayenne, paprika and 1 cup water. Mix to combine.
• Add the kidney beans and black beans, mix and bring to a simmer. Cover and cook for 1-2 hours.
• Serve with desired toppings.

AWARD WINNING AUTUMN CHILI RECIPE

Steps:

• In a large pot over medium heat, add the ground beef and begin to brown (if you are using ground chicken you may need to add a little extra virgin olive oil to the bottom of the pan to prevent sticking). Add the chopped onion, bell pepper, garlic, and chipotle peppers. Cook until the meat is brown
• Add the pumpkin puree, hard cider, beans, and chicken broth into the pot. Stir in the chili powder, cumin, cinnamon, salt, pepper and bay leaf. Stir well.
• Bring the mixture to a boil and then turn down the heat and simmer for at least 30 minutes stirring occasionally.
• Serve warm and top with optional garnishes if desired.

AWARD WINNING CHILI

Steps:

• Brown meat; add onion and garlic. Saute for a few minutes.
• Add remaining ingredients except kidney beans.
• Cover and simmer 1 1/2 to 2 hours. If you want a thicker chili, thicken with some flour and water.
• Add kidney beans and heat through.

BEST AWARD-WINNING CHILI

Steps:

• Brown hamburger, onion, green pepper and garlic, then drain(there isn't usually much to drain with the ground sirloin).
• In large pot, dump in meat mixture.
• Add both beans, water, tomatoes and tomato sauce.
• Add spices and stir.
• Add brown sugar and stir.
• Cook for 20-30 minutes.
• Serve with cheddar cheese, sour cream, crackers.
