BAKED ITALIAN SAUSAGE
Baked Italian Sausage is quite possibly the easiest dinner ever and ensures that your sausage links are cooked completely! There are countless flavor combinations to spice up your roasting pan and make your sweet Italian, spicy Italian, beef, pork, chicken, or even turkey sausage into a one pan meal!

Steps:
- Rinse and cut cherry tomatoes in halves. Rinse and cut bell pepper in strips, then cut into 1 inch bite size chunks. Arrange in a single layer on the parchment paper lined baking sheet.
- Drizzle olive oil then sprinkle Italian seasoning over the vegetables. Toss to coat.
- Preheat your oven to 400 degrees F (205 degrees C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper (or aluminum foil).
- Place sausages on the baking sheet (with or without cherry tomatoes and peppers) in a single layer, and so that sausages are not touching each other.
- Bake in the center rack at the middle of the oven for 20-25 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 160 degrees F.
- Remove from the oven and serve immediately.

BAKED ITALIAN SAUSAGES
A fantastic and easy way to make Italian sausages. Outside the sausage is a nice golden brown and slightly crisp while the inside stays tender and juicy. We sliced the sausage and couldn't stop snacking on them all by themselves. But you can serve on a bun with peppers and onions, too. They'd be a great addition to a red sauce or even top a pizza with the Italian sausage. The possibilities are endless!

- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Place sausages into baking pan (13x9). Add water. Sprinkle with spices.
- Bake uncovered for 20 minutes.
- Turn sausages over and return to the oven for about 40 minutes more.
- Bake until the sausages are a beautiful color like the ones in my photo.
- Serve as you desire. I like these with veggies and sauce on Italian or French bread with hot peppers (Chicago Style!). Or, serve with your favorite pasta dish like spaghetti.

- Preheat oven to 350°. In a large skillet over medium heat, cook sausage, crumbling meat, until no longer pink, 3-4 minutes; drain. Stir in pasta sauce and tomatoes. Transfer to a 13x9-in. baking dish., Dollop ricotta cheese on top of meat mixture. Gently break an egg into a small bowl; slip egg onto ricotta. Repeat with remaining eggs. Sprinkle with salt, pepper and Parmesan cheese., Bake until egg whites are completely set and yolks have begun to thicken but are not hard, 30-35 minutes. - Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Add pasta and cook for 8 to 10 minutes or until al dente; drain.
- Heat oil in a large, deep skillet. Place sausage and onion in the skillet and cook over medium high heat until evenly brown. Drain excess fat. Pour in wine, and cook for 1 minute, stirring, to deglaze the pan. Stir in tomato sauce, diced tomatoes and tomato paste. Simmer for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally. Toss with cooked pasta, and place in a 9x13 inch baking dish. Sprinkle top with mozzarella.
- Bake in preheated oven for 20 minutes, or until cheese is melted.

- If you are making optional vegetables, toss the tomatoes and sliced bell peppers with olive oil, salt, and pepper. Spread them flat on a separate parchment or foil-lined baking sheet.
- Place the sheet pans in the oven and bake for 10 minutes. Flip the sausages over. If they look like they might burst, prick them with a fork a few times.

- Preheat oven 325 degrees.
- Cut Italian sausage into 2" pieces.
- Bake in oven 30 minutes.
- In the meantime cut onions into 1/4 slices.
- Slice bell peppers into 1/2" slices.
- Saute onions in olive oil just until tender; set aside.
- In same skillet, saute bell pepper slices just until tender.
- Add drained tomatoes, Italian seasoning and pinch sugar to pan; stir to mix.
- Add onions and cooked sausage pieces; mix.
- Cover with foil; bake 45 minutes.
- Uncover and bake additional 10-15 minutes.
- Tip: I use a black iron Dutch oven with lid not only to saute, but for the final baking process also.

- Put all ingredients including the browned sausage and onion into the crock pot and heat until hot (about 1 hour, depending on your crock pot).
- If you are in a hurry, the beans, pepper, and bbq sauce can be added to the skillet and heated. If you are camping, this can be heated in a dutch oven.
