- Cut apples in half lengthwise; remove cores. Place in an ungreased 8-in. square baking dish. Place 1 teaspoon of blue cheese into each half., In a small bowl, combine the oats, bran flakes, golden raisins, raisins and brown sugar; spoon into apples. Top with remaining cheese. Bake, uncovered, at 350° until tender, 35-40 minutes.

APPLE DUMPLING PULL-APART BREAD

- In a Dutch oven over medium heat, melt butter. Add next 6 ingredients; stir to combine. Cook, covered, stirring occasionally, until apples have softened and released their juices, 10-12 minutes. With a slotted spoon, transfer apples to a 15x10-in. rimmed baking pan; spread into a single layer. Add cider to Dutch oven and bring to a boil; cook, stirring, until juices thicken and reduce to 1/2 cup, 10-12 minutes. Remove from heat; add vanilla extract. Pour over apple slices; cool completely. (Filling can be made 24 hours in advance and refrigerated.), For dough, dissolve yeast in warm water. Add milk, sugar, oil, salt and 1-1/4 cups flour. Beat on medium speed until smooth, 2-3 minutes. Stir in enough remaining flour to form a soft dough. , Turn onto a floured surface; knead until smooth and elastic, 6-8 minutes. Place in a greased bowl, turning once to grease top. Cover and let rise in a warm place until doubled, about 1 hour., Punch down dough. Turn onto a lightly floured surface. Roll into an 18x12-in. rectangle; spread apple mixture to within 1/2 in. of edges. Cut into twenty-four 3x3-in. squares. Make 4 stacks of 6 squares each; place stacks on edge in a greased 9x5-in. loaf pan. Cover and let rise until doubled, about 45 minutes. Meanwhile, preheat oven to 350°. , Bake until well browned, 1-1/4 to 1-1/2 hours. For cider sauce, bring 3-1/2 cups cider and brown sugar to a boil. Cook, stirring, until sauce is reduced to 1 cup, about 25 minutes. For glaze, beat confectioners' sugar, cream cheese, 1/4 cup butter, 1 teaspoon vanilla and enough remaining apple cider to reach desired consistency., Add remaining butter and vanilla to cider sauce. Cook and stir until sauce is thickened. Cool slightly. Drizzle sauce and glaze over bread.

- Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C).
- Melt 1/4 cup butter in a 12-inch cast iron skillet over medium-low heat. Stir in brown sugar, pineapple juice, and dark rum. Cook over medium-low heat until sugar is dissolved and mixture is bubbling, about 5 minutes.
- Remove from heat and spread pineapple slices in a layer over the brown sugar mixture, completely covering the mixture. Set skillet aside.
- Melt 1/2 cup butter in small skillet over low heat until the butter begins to brown and release a nutty fragrance, about 5 minutes. Watch carefully, butter burns easily. Remove from heat and let cool for 10 minutes.
- Whisk together flour, cardamom, salt, baking powder, and white sugar in a large bowl. Whisk in egg and cold milk until just combined. Pour in melted butter and stir to mix thoroughly.
- Pour batter over the pineapple slices in the skillet; spread evenly to cover.
- Bake in preheated oven until the cake begins to bubble around the edges, the top is browned, and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean, about 30 to 35 minutes. Let cool in the skillet for 10 minutes.
- Loosen the cake from the skillet by running a knife around the inside edge of the cake. Invert a large plate over the top of the skillet and flip over, releasing the cake to show the pineapple slices on top.

My friend sent me this recipe. I haven't gotten to try it yet but it sure sounds delicious. It has a special ingredient in it that I bet gives it a lemon citrus taste. I can't wait to try it.

Steps:
- Peel apples, cut apples in half and core. separate crescent rolls into triangles. place one half of apple on wide end of triangle and roll apple up in roll.
- Roll toward the point end.
- Tuck dough in around apple.
- Place apple in baking dish (9x13-inch).
- Repeat with all apples and rolls.
- Put sugar, butter, cinnamon and Mt. Dew in pot and place over medium heat until butter and sugar is melted (don't boil).
- Pour over apple dumplings.
- Place in 350°F oven for 45 minutes.
- Baste dumplings every 15 minutes with liquid in dish.
- Note: (Buy the apples that are in bag, if you buy the apples that are loose they will be larger and you might want to use only a quarter of the apple in each roll).
- Put a scoop of vanilla ice cream over a hot dumpling and enjoy. Yum, yum, yum.
