BARCELONA BURGERS
Steps:
- Preheat grill to medium-hot. Grill chile until blackened on all sides, about 10 minutes. Place in a bowl, cover, and let stand until cool. Peel, seed, core, and chop chile.
- In a bowl, combine mayonnaise, lemon zest, and juice.
- Crumble chuck into a large bowl. Add chorizo and chopped chile. Mix gently but thoroughly, until combined. Shape into 4 burgers (3/4-inch thick).
- Grill burgers 4 minutes per side, or until medium-rare. Grill tomato slices until hot, about 1 minute per side. Sprinkle bread slices evenly with cheese and carefully transfer to grill rack. Grill covered until underside of bread is toasted and cheese melts
- To assemble burgers, cut each slice of bread in half. Place burgers on half of the bread. Spread lemon mayonnaise on burgers, and top each with a tomato slice and frisée. Top with the remaining bread, cheese side down.

BRANDI'S BEST BURGERS
These burgers are definitely crowd pleasers! Perfect for family get-togethers and summer cookouts. They are complimented nicely by baked beans and potato salad. Serve between sesame seed or whole wheat buns and, if desired, plenty of lettuce, tomato, onion and pickles. I also like to use Hickory flavored wood chips when I BBQ to add additional flavor to the meat. If you use wood chips, soak them in water for about an hour, then spread them over the hot coals just before grilling.

- Preheat an outdoor grill for medium high heat and lightly oil grate.
- In a large bowl, combine the beef, onion soup mix, water, hot sauce and bread crumbs. Mix together well and form into patties.
- Grill patties over medium high heat for 10 to 20 minutes, or to desired doneness.

BARBEQUED HAMBURGERS
This is an heirloom recipe from my grandmother. We used to beg my mom to make these. Not intended to be placed on a grill, they are best served over rice with a nice green salad.

Steps:
- In a medium bowl, mix the ground beef, oats, milk, 2 tablespoons minced onion, salt, and pepper. Let stand for a few minutes until milk is absorbed, and shape into 8 patties.
- In a small bowl, thoroughly mix the Worcestershire sauce, vinegar, sugar, ketchup, and 1/4 cup chopped onion; set aside.
- Heat the oil in a medium skillet over medium heat, and fry the patties until brown on both sides. Pour the sauce in with the patties, and reduce heat. Continue cooking about 15 minutes.
