2 cans pork and beans, drained

Steps:

  • Brown ground beef and onion; drain.
  • Remove from heat; Add all other ingredients and stir well.
  • Place in a casserole dish and bake, covered, at 325 for 45 minutes.

1 small onion (chopped)
1/2 green pepper (diced)
1/2 cup barbecue sauce
1/2 cup catsup
1/2 cup brown sugar (packed)
1 teaspoon mustard powder

Steps:

  • Brown the beef with the onions and peppers; drain off grease.
  • Lightly spray a baking dish with Pam or your brand of spray.
  • Mix meat, pork and beans, bbq sauce, catsup, brown sugar and mustard; combine well.
  • Pour into casserole and bake at 375° for 20 to 30 minutes.

This recipe for baked beans is always a hit. They are extra hearty because of the ground beef and the homemade barbecue sauce has just the right balance of flavors. Not too tangy, not too sweet. Just delicious.

1 pound ground beef
1 medium onion, chopped
1 green bell pepper, seeded and chopped
1 can (16 ounce size) pork and beans
1 teaspoon dry mustard
1 cup ketchup
1 dash Worcestershire sauce
1 cup brown sugar

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the ground beef, onion, and bell pepper. Cook, stirring frequently, until the beef is browned and the vegetables are soft. Drain off any excess grease. Add the pork and beans, mustard, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, and brown sugar to the skillet. Mix well. Transfer the mixture to a large baking dish (or two smaller ones). Place in the oven and bake at 350 degrees F for 1 hour or until bubbly in the middle.

1 cup chopped onion
3 cloves garlic, minced
3 (15 ounce) cans navy beans, rinsed and drained
¾ cup mild harissa paste or sauce
½ cup water
⅓ cup golden raisins
2 dates, pitted and finely chopped
½ teaspoon ground cumin
1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley, or to taste
1 tablespoon sliced jalapeno pepper, or to taste

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  • Cook bacon in a large skillet over medium heat until browned and crisp, about 10 minutes. Remove bacon and drain on paper towels. Reserve 1/2 tablespoon bacon drippings in the skillet.
  • Cook onion in reserved drippings over medium-low heat until starting to soften, about 5 minutes. Add garlic; cook, stirring occasionally, until fragrant, about 2 minutes more.
  • Stir beans, harissa sauce, water, raisins, dates, cumin, and cooked bacon into the skillet. Pour into an 8-inch square baking dish.

1 pound ground beef
1 large onion, finely chopped
1 pound peppered bacon
7 (28 ounce) cans baked beans (such as Bush's® Original)
1 (15 ounce) can black beans, drained
1 (15 ounce) can light red kidney beans, drained
1 (15 ounce) can dark red kidney beans, drained
1 (15 ounce) can great northern beans, drained
½ cup brown sugar
¼ cup prepared yellow mustard
¼ cup soy sauce

Steps:

  • Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add ground beef and onion. Cook and stir until beef is browned and crumbly, 5 to 7 minutes. Drain and discard grease. Set aside.
  • Place bacon in a large skillet and cook over medium-high heat, turning occasionally, until evenly browned, about 10 minutes. Drain bacon slices on paper towels. Crumble into small pieces.

1 chopped onion
1 can drained dark red kidney beans
1 can drained butter beans
1 tall can bushes baked beans
3/4 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup ketchup
2 teaspoon vinegar
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon dried mustard

Steps:

  • Slice the bacon into about 1" pieces. In a skillet over medium heat, brown the hamburger, bacon and chopped onion. In a large casserole dish, combine the browned meat and onions with the other ingredients and bake uncovered at 350 degrees for about 1 1/2 hours. If you double the recipe it will fill a crock pot.
