1 pound ground beef
1 can (15-3/4 ounces) pork and beans
3/4 cup barbecue sauce
2 tablespoons brown sugar
1 tablespoon dried minced onion
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 tube (12 ounces) refrigerated buttermilk biscuits
1/2 to 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

Steps:

  • In a large skillet, cook beef over medium heat until no longer pink; drain. Add the beans, barbecue sauce, brown sugar, onion and salt; mix well. Bring to a boil. , Transfer to a greased 2-qt. baking dish. Separate biscuits and arrange over the hot beef mixture. Sprinkle with cheese. , Bake, uncovered, at 400° for 18-20 minutes or until biscuits are golden brown.

1/4 cup chopped green pepper

1 tablespoon prepared mustard
1 (4 1/2 ounce) package refrigerated buttermilk biscuits
1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese

Steps:

  • In a skillet, cook ground beef, onions, garlic and green pepper over medium heat until meat is no longer pink; drain. Add the beans, barbecue sauce, brown sugar, ketchup and mustard. Simmer for 5 minutes or until heated through.
  • Transfer to a greased 11-in. x 7-in. x 2-in. baking dish. Separate biscuits and cut in half; arrange over beef mixture. Bake, uncovered, at 400° for 18 minutes or until biscuits are golden. Sprinkle with cheese; bake 2-3 minutes longer or until cheese is melted.

1 medium red bell pepper, chopped (1 cup)

1 cup barbecue sauce
1 package (1 oz) Old El Paso™ original taco seasoning mix
1 tablespoon chili powder

1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese (4 oz)
1/4 cup sliced green onions

Steps:

  • Heat oven to 350°F. Spray 13x9-inch (3-quart) baking dish with cooking spray.
  • In 12-inch skillet, cook beef, onion and bell pepper over medium-high heat 9 to 11 minutes, stirring occasionally, until beef is thoroughly cooked; drain.
  • Stir in tomatoes, kidney beans, barbecue sauce, taco seasoning mix and chili powder. Heat to boiling, stirring frequently. Separate dough into 8 biscuits. Transfer beef mixture to baking dish; top with biscuits.

1 tablespoon margarine
3 tablespoons all-purpose flour, divided
½ teaspoon ground mustard
¼ teaspoon rubbed sage
1 ½ cups milk
2 cubes chicken bouillon
1 pinch ground white pepper
2 ounces shredded Cheddar cheese
1 cup cooked, diced chicken breast
1 cup fresh mushrooms, sliced
1 cup chopped fresh green beans
1 (10 ounce) can refrigerated biscuit dough

Steps:

  • In a saucepan, heat margarine until hot and bubbly. Add flour, mustard, and sage; stir quickly to combine. Stirring constantly, add milk. Cook and stir until smooth.
  • Add bouillon and pepper, and mix well. Reduce heat to low. Cook, stirring occasionally, until mixture is thick, 5 to 10 minutes.
  • Stir in the cheese, and cook until melted. Add the chicken, mushrooms, and green beans. Cook until heated through, 3 to 5 minutes.
  • Pour chicken mixture into a lightly greased 9x13 inch baking dish. Separate biscuits into 2 layers, making 10 circles. Arrange biscuits over chicken mixture.
  • Bake, uncovered, at 400 degrees F (205 degrees C) until biscuits are golden, about 10 to 12 minutes.

Every once in a while I crave pork and beans and when I do I love to make this recipe. It has a slightly sweet filling and is topped with flaky biscuits and cheese for a nice flavor contrast making it almost like a pie.

1 1/2 lbs ground beef
2 (15 ounce) cans pork and beans
1 tablespoon brown sugar
1 tablespoon ketchup
1 (12 ounce) package Hungry Jack big flaky refrigerated biscuits
1 cup American cheese, grated

Steps:

  • Brown ground beef; drain fat.
  • Heat pork and beans in a medium saucepan. Add brown sugar and ketchup. (Start off with 1/2 tablespoon brown sugar and 1/2 tablespoon ketchup, gradually adding more until it suits your taste. I like mine a little on the sweet side.)
  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees (the oven tempurature may vary depending on the brand of biscuits you use).
  • Combine ground beef and pork and beans in a 2 1/2 quart casserole.
  • Place biscuits on a baking sheet, baking them 4 minutes (just long enough so that the bottoms of the biscuits start to cook).
  • Place the slightly baked biscuits on top of the pork and bean mixture. Sprinkle with cheese. Bake covered at 350 degrees for 20-30 minutes.

½ pound bacon
1 pound ground beef
1 small onion, chopped
2 (15 ounce) cans baked beans with pork
⅓ cup barbeque sauce
1 (7.5 ounce) package refrigerated biscuit dough

Steps:

  • Cook bacon in a large skillet or Dutch oven over medium heat until evenly browned. Drain, and cut into bite size pieces. Set aside. Add hamburger and onion to the skillet, and cook until no longer pink, and the onion is tender. Drain.
  • Stir bacon, baked beans and barbeque sauce into the ground beef, and bring to a boil. Reduce heat to medium low, and place biscuits in a single layer over the top of the mixture. Cover, and simmer for about 10 minutes, or until the biscuits are done. Place two biscuits on each plate, and spoon beans over.

1 cup KRAFT Shredded Mild Cheddar Cheese
1 cup all-purpose baking mix
3 Tbsp. milk

Steps:

  • Heat oven to 375ºF.
  • Mix soup and 1/2 cup sour cream until blended. Combine chicken, vegetables and cheese in large bowl. Add soup mixture; mix lightly.
  • Spoon into 8-inch square baking dish sprayed with cooking spray.
  • Stir baking mix, milk and remaining sour cream just until mixture forms soft dough. Spoon into 6 mounds over chicken mixture.
  • Bake 35 min. or until chicken mixture is hot and bubbly, and biscuit topping is golden brown.
