1 lb large shrimp (peel and deveined, and butterflied if you choose)
4 cups water
1 1/2 cups cornstarch
2 eggs
2 cups breadcrumbs
3/4 teaspoon garlic powder
3/4 teaspoon onion powder
oil (for deep frying)

Steps:

  • In a large bowl mix water, cornstarch and eggs. On a plate or using a shaker bag mix breadcrumbs, onion and garlic powder.
  • Dip the shrimp into the cornstarch mixture until completely coated and then roll them in the bread crumb mixture. Stir the cornstarch batter, and then dip the shrimp back into the mixture and roll in breadcrumbs once more.
  • Deep fry shrimp in batches until golden brown. Drain on paper towels.

1 pound of cleaned shrimp
1 cup of flour
2 eggs
1 cup of breadcrumbs
1 teaspoon of garlic powder
1 teaspoon of parsley
1 teaspoon of black pepper
1 teaspoon of salt
Oil for frying

Steps:

  • 1 In a pan, add all the shrimp, along with the salt, the black pepper, and the garlic powder. Mix them well and set aside.
  • 2 In one bowl, beat the eggs; in another add the flour, and, in a third one, add the breadcrumb with the parsley.
  • 3 Next, put the shrimp in the bowl with flour and cover them well, shaking to remove excess.
  • 4 Then, submerge them first in the bowl with the beaten eggs, and then in the one with the breadcrumbs, shaking to remove excess. Set them aside for the next step.
  • 5 Add oil in a frying pan (enough oil to cover the shrimp) and set it on medium high heat. When it is hot enough, carefully add half of the shrimp and fry them until they become golden.
  • 6 Remove the first batch and drain them on cooking paper to get rid of the extra grease. Put the second batch in the hot oil and fry it, repeating the same process.

1 bag of frozen cooked shrimp (about 40 to 50 shrimp per bag)
2 eggs, beaten
1/4 cup Panko breadcrumbs (Special K crumbs)
1/4 cup plain breadcrumbs
2 tablespoons Parmesan cheese, grated
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon paprika
1/4 teaspoon parsley
Salt and pepper to taste
Cooking spray

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 450 F. Spray a large baking sheet with cooking spray, set aside. In one medium bowl combine Panko breadcrumbs, plain breadcrumbs and Parmesan cheese. In another bowl beat eggs, add in garlic powder, paprika, parsley, salt and pepper. Defrost the shrimp according to the package, wash and dry with paper towel. Put shrimps in the egg mixture. Cover with plastic wrap and let it marinate for about 10 to 15 minutes in the fridge. Take shrimps from the egg mixture. Put a few at a time into the breadcrumb mixture to coat, then on the baking sheet. Lightly spray the top of the chicken with cooking spray. Bake shrimp in the middle rack for about 6 to 7 minutes. Turn shrimp over then cook another 3 minutes or until cooked though. Remove from the oven and serve right away with lemon wedges or your favorite sauce.

  • Preheat air fryer to 375°. In a shallow bowl, mix flour, seasoned salt, dill weed and pepper. In a separate shallow bowl, whisk egg, milk and hot pepper sauce.
