1 package (16 ounces) frozen Brussels sprouts, thawed
2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
2 tablespoons torn fresh basil leaves
1/2 to 1 teaspoon flaky sea salt
1/2 teaspoon coarsely ground pepper

Steps:

  • In a large skillet, heat oil over medium-high heat. Add Brussels sprouts to skillet and cook until heated through, 5-7 minutes. Transfer to a serving bowl. Drizzle with vinegar; sprinkle with basil, salt and pepper.

1 1/2 pounds Brussels sprouts
3 tablespoons good olive oil
3/4 teaspoon kosher salt
1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.
  • Cut off the brown ends of the Brussels sprouts and pull off any yellow outer leaves. Mix them in a bowl with the olive oil, salt and pepper. Pour them on a sheet pan and roast for 35 to 40 minutes, until crisp on the outside and tender on the inside. Shake the pan from time to time to brown the sprouts evenly. Sprinkle with more kosher salt ( I like these salty like French fries), and serve immediately.

1 small onion, sliced
2 Tbsp butter
2 Tbsp flour
1 tsp sugar
1 c tomato juice
1/2 tsp salt
1/8 tsp pepper
2 pkg (10 oz.) frozen brussel sprouts or 1 1/4 pounds fresh brussel sprouts, cooked and drained
1/4 c shredded cheddar cheese

Steps:

  • 1. In a skillet, saute onion in butter until tender. Remove onion and set aside.
  • 2. Blend flour into the drippings.
  • 3. Add tomato juice; cook and stir over low heat until thickened and smooth. Stir in the sugar. salt, pepper and onion.
  • 4. Arrange the brussel sprouts in a greased 1 quart baking dish; top with the tomato sauce. Sprinkle with cheese.
  • 5. Bake uncovered, at 350 degrees for 15 minutes.
