Caprese Salad with Burrata image

Simple and delicious Caprese salad is a must-do during spring and summer, specially if you have vine-ripe tomatoes and fresh Burrata mozzarella.

4 medium vine-ripened tomatoes
16 ounces Burrata cheese
1 bunch basil, leaves picked from stems
½ cup extra-virgin olive oil
coarse salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
2 tablespoons balsamic glaze, or to taste

Steps:

  • Slice each tomato into 3 or 4 thick slices. Place on a serving tray or platter.
  • Pull Burrata cheese apart into pieces and place on top of tomatoes. Add basil leaves, then drizzle with olive oil. Season generously with salt and pepper and drizzle with balsamic glaze.

  • Arrange tomato and burrata slices on a platter. Place basil leaves in between and drizzle olive oil over top. Season with salt and pepper and drizzle with balsamic vinegar.
