CARAMELIZED AIR FRYER BANANAS



Caramelized Air Fryer Bananas image

Sweet caramelized air fryer bananas make a delicious treat in under 12 minutes.

2 bananas (ripe)
3 tablespoons butter
2 tablespoons brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Steps:

  • For best results, line the bottom of your air fryer basket with aluminum foil. Use a fork to poke a lot of holes in it. This will help air circulate around the bananas, but minimize the clean-up!
  • Place the butter, brown sugar, and ground cinnamon into a small bowl. Microwave for 25-30 seconds to melt the butter. Mix the sugar mixture with the melted butter with a whisk or a spoon.
  • Peel your bananas and put them onto a cutting board. Slice them lengthwise or in rounds. You can cut them into thick pieces or thin, it is a personal preference.
  • Place the banana slices in the melted brown sugar butter and use a pastry brush to coat the bananas in the sweet mixture. Repeat a couple of times to really coat the bananas.
  • Preheat the air fryer to 375º F.
  • Place the coated banana pieces on the foil in a single layer. Place the foil with the bananas in a Ninja Foodi or another air fryer and set the cook time for 4 minutes.
  • Open the air fryer tray and flip the bananas over to cook the other side. Cook for 3 minutes. If you want your bananas to be really golden brown, cook them for 4-5 additional minutes.
  • The bananas should be soft and caramelized.
  • This recipe will keep fresh in the refrigerator for up to 4 days. Store in an air-tight container.

1 banana, sliced into 1/8-inch thick diagonals
avocado oil cooking spray

Steps:

  • Line air fryer basket with parchment paper.
  • Preheat an air fryer to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
  • Place banana slices into the basket, making sure that they are not touching; cook in batches if necessary. Mist banana slices with avocado oil.
  • Cook in the air fryer for 5 minuets. Remove basket and flip banana slices carefully (they will be soft). Cook until banana slices are browning and caramelized, an additional 2 to 3 minutes. Carefully remove from basket.
