CAT POOP COOKIES II

Steps:

• In a medium bowl, Microwave the honey until it bubbles. This may take up to 1 minute. Stir in the molasses, butter and egg. Beat until smooth. Stir in the flour, cinnamon, ginger, and cloves until combined. Then add the dramatic additions of your choice such as coconut, ramen, chocolate chips, or peanuts. Chill dough until firm.
• Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Roll dough into logs about 3/4 inch in diameter. Cut into pieces the approximate length of cat poop. Roll pieces in the cereal, place on an unprepared cookie sheet, and bake for 10 to 15 minutes in the preheated oven.
• Serve the cookies in a disposable cat litter box, on a bed of cereal, with a brand new litterbox scoop. Add plastic flies, and dip the litter scoop in chocolate for added fun.

CAT SUGAR COOKIES

Steps:

• Sift flour, baking powder, and salt into a large bowl; set aside. Put butter and sugar in the bowl of an electric mixer fitted with the paddle attachment. Mix on medium speed until pale and fluffy. Mix in eggs and vanilla. Reduce speed to low. Gradually mix in flour mixture. Divide dough in half; flatten each half into a disk. Wrap each in plastic. Refrigerate until firm, at least 1 hour (or overnight).
• Preheat oven to 325 degrees, with racks in upper and lower thirds. Let 1 disk of dough stand at room temperature just until soft enough to roll, about 10 minutes. Roll out dough on a lightly floured work surface to just under 1/4 inch thick, adding more flour as needed to keep dough from sticking. Cut out cookies with a 4-inch cat-shape cookie cutter, transferring cookies to parchment-lined baking sheets as you work. Roll out the scraps, and repeat. Repeat with remaining disk of dough. Chill cookies in freezer until very firm, about 15 minutes.
• Bake cookies, switching positions of sheets and rotating halfway through, until edges turn golden, 15 to 18 minutes. Let cool on sheets on wire racks.

SCARY CAT COOKIES

Steps:

• Heat oven to 350°F. Grease cookie sheets with shortening.
• In small saucepan, melt chocolate over low heat, stirring constantly. In large bowl, beat butter and sugar with electric mixer on medium speed, or mix with spoon. Stir in melted chocolate, flour, vanilla and egg.
• Shape dough into 30 (1-inch) balls. Pull a little bit of dough from each of 15 balls to make tails; set aside. Cut about 1/4-inch slit in same balls, using scissors. Separate dough at slit for cat's ears. Place balls about 2 inches apart on cookie sheets.
• Place remaining balls below each cat head on cookie sheets for body. Shape small pieces of dough into 15 (2 1/2-inch-long) ropes. Place end of rope under each body.
• Bake 12 to 14 minutes or until set. Remove from cookie sheets to cooling racks. Cool 30 minutes.
• Use sprinkles to make eyes and baking bits to make noses. Add yellow licorice pieces for whiskers. Add pink licorice for tongues.

HALLOWEEN CAT COOKIES

Steps:

• Bake cookies according to package directions. Cool on a wire racks. , Cut off yellow tips from 18 pieces of candy corn (discard orange and white portion or save for another use). Frost cookies with chocolate frosting. , Immediately decorate with two whole candy corns for eyes, a yellow candy corn tip for nose, six licorice pieces for whiskers and two wafer quarters for ears.

Steps:

• Place honey in a heat-proof bowl and microwave on high heat until bubbles appear, about a minute; add butter and stir until combined. Add flour, cocoa powder, egg and vanilla and stir to combine.
• Form dough into small, log-shaped cookies of random lengths to resemble cat dukies. Place logs on a baking sheet and refrigerate until firm. Roll chilled logs in Grape nuts until cereal adheres to the dough -- the cookies don't have to be totally covered with the cereal, they should look sort of random or realistic.
• Place on ungreased baking sheets and bake in a preheated 350° oven for 10-15 minutes or until lightly browned. Remove from oven and place cookies on a wire rack to cool completely.
• Line a clean litter box with foil and cover bottom with additional Grape Nuts cereal. Add cookies to the 'litter' and serve with a new (clean) litter scoop. LOL.

BLACK CAT COOKIES

Steps:

• In a bowl, cream butter and sugar. Beat in eggs and vanilla. Combine the flour, cocoa, baking powder, baking soda and salt; gradually add to the creamed mixture. Roll dough into 1-1/2-in. balls. Place 3 in. apart on lightly greased baking sheets., Insert a wooden stick into each cookie. Flatten with a glass dipped in sugar. Pinch top of cookie to form ears. For whiskers, press a fork twice into each cookie. Bake at 350° for 10-12 minutes or until cookies are set. Remove from the oven; immediately press on candy corn for eyes and Red Hots for noses. Remove to wire racks to cool.

Steps:

• Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C). Lightly grease 2 baking sheets.
• Cream butter cubes for about 1 minute in a bowl with an electric mixer until smooth and the color has turned pale yellow. Add sugar and vanilla extract; continue the creaming process until the mixture is smooth. Beat in the egg whites, 1 at a time, on low speed until batter is light and fluffy. Mix in flour until just combined--do not overmix!
• Transfer batter into a pastry bag with a medium plain tip and pipe dough in 2-inch "tongues" onto the prepared baking sheets.
• Bake in the preheated oven until cat tongues turn golden brown on the edges, about 10 minutes.

HALLOWEEN CAT COOKIES

Steps:

• Heat oven to 350°F. Line cookie sheets with cooking parchment paper. In a medium bowl, stir together flour, baking soda, salt and gelatin; set aside. In separate medium bowl, beat butter and sugar with electric mixer on medium speed until light and fluffy. Add egg; beat until blended. Beat in flour mixture alternately with buttermilk on low speed, half of each at a time, until soft dough forms. Stir in orange peel.
• Onto lined cookie sheets, drop dough by rounded tablespoonfuls 2 inches apart. Bake 10 to 12 minutes or until bottoms are golden brown. Cool 1 to 2 minutes; remove from cookie sheets to cooling racks. Cool completely before decorating.
• To Decorate Cookies: Into 1-pint resealable food-storage plastic bag, add chocolate frosting; reseal bag. Cut 1/8-inch opening diagonally across bottom corner of bag. Pipe cat face onto center of cookies, smoothing out frosting with small spatula as necessary. For each cookie, press into frosting 2 green milk chocolate candies for eyes, 1 orange milk chocolate candy half for nose and 6 coconut shreds for whiskers. Using chocolate frosting, pipe thin line down center of green candies, creating pupils for eyes. Using red icing, pipe on mouth. Store in airtight container.

KITTY CAT COOKIES

Steps:

• Beat together peanut butter, eggs, and water.
• Gradually add cake mix.
• Mix well.
• Form dough into 1-inch balls.
• Place on ungreased cookie sheet.
• Flatten balls with bottom of glass dipped in sugar.
• Pinch out 2 ears at top of cookie.
• Add M&M's (eyes) and red hots (nose).
• Press fork into dough to form whiskers.
• Bake at 375 degrees for 8-10 minutes.
• Makes 4 1/2 dozen.
