150 g split yellow lentils (Chana Lentils)
50 g low calorie sweetener
100 g nonfat dry milk powder
6 tablespoons oil
10 g almonds

Steps:

  • In a dish soak the chana lentils for atleast 1 hour. Add 4 cups of water to it and cook it in the pan until it is soft. Set it aside and let it cool.
  • heat the oil add the boiled chana lentils with water and milk powder. When it starts boiling add the sugar. Keep stirring until it turns dark brown. When all of the water evaporates, it will come to a soft consistency. Garnish with almonds.

1 tablespoon ginger (sliced)
1 teaspoon garlic paste
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
1/2 teaspoon turmeric (haldi)
1/4 teaspoon coriander powder
1/4 teaspoon cumin
2 tomatoes, diced
1 tablespoon lemon juice
200 g Urad Dal, split washed and soaked (mash dal)
1 teaspoon crushed red chili pepper
salt
4 green chilies

Steps:

  • heat thoil in pan and fry onion until golden. now add garlic an stir for 2-3 minutes.
  • now add salt,red chilies,cumin.corriander powder,turmeric and little water and stir it .
  • now add ginger tomatoes and dal stir it.now add almost 1 or 1 1/2 cup water and leave it on medium flame .
  • until dal is tender. Sprinkle Garam Masala green chilies and coriander leaves.

250 g skinless chicken
150 g grams lentils
1 large onion, sliced
2 tomatoes, chopped
4 green chilies
6 garlic cloves (peeled)
1/2 inch gingerroot, minced
1/4 tablespoon garam masala
1 teaspoon cumin powder
1 teaspoon coriander powder
1/2 teaspoon chili powder
1/4 teaspoon turmeric powder
salt
2 tablespoons oil

Steps:

  • clean dal and boil with enough water,salt and turmeric till soft then mashed it with water .
  • Cut the chicken into 2-3inch pieces.Put the onions,garlic,ginger,salt, chili powder, ground coriander, chicken and 1,1/2cups water in a heavy based pot. cook for 10 to 15 minutes, or until the meat is half cook.
  • Add oil ,tomatoes and green chillies and cook for 5 minutes.
  • then add mashed dal with water.
  • and cook for 10 to 15 minutes .then sprinkle Garam Masala.
