I got this from a supermarket leaflet about cooking with cheese, so easy! Cooking time includes cooling and chilling time.

250 g mascarpone
425 g custard (ready made)
4 teaspoons Tia Maria or 4 teaspoons coffee liqueur
1 teaspoon instant coffee
350 ml water
100 g sponge cake fingers, cut into chunks
cocoa powder, to sprinkle

Steps:

  • Boil the water and dissolve the coffee in it.
  • Set aside to cool.
  • Beat the mascarpone and custard together.
  • Stir the Tia Maria into the coffee and dip sponge chunks into the liquid.
  • Divide a third of the mixture into four serving dishes.
  • Spoon over a third of the mascarpone/custard mix, and keep layering, finishing with the mascarpone/custard mix.
  • Sprinkle with cocoa and chill for 1 hour.

This tiramisu isn't fancy but it's delicious and it's the easiest recipe I have. Always a hit.

1 (16.25 ounce) package white cake mix
1 ¼ cups water
⅓ cup vegetable oil
3 large eggs
1 pint heavy whipping cream
¼ cup white sugar
¼ teaspoon vanilla extract, or to taste
12 fluid ounces brewed coffee, chilled
1 tablespoon cocoa powder

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease the bottom only of a 9x13-inch glass baking pan.
  • Combine cake mix, water, oil and eggs in a large bowl with a mixer on medium speed until well combined. Pour into the prepared pan.
  • Bake in the preheated oven until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean, 29 to 34 minutes. Remove from the oven and let cool completely, about 30 minutes.
  • Poke 12 holes in the cooled cake with the base of a serving spoon or any utensil that has a rounded bottom.
  • Whip whipping cream, adding sugar and vanilla when it's about halfway whipped; you want it to hold its shape, but don't overwhip.
  • Pour coffee over the cake, then immediately spread whipped cream evenly over top. Dust with cocoa powder, covering it completely. Cut and serve or chill in the refrigerator until ready to serve.

1/2 cup strong black coffee
2 ounces coffee liqueur
1 cup mascarpone cheese
1/2 cup powdered sugar
1/4 cup cocoa powder
1/4 teaspoon cinnamon

Steps:

  • Open the ladyfingers and separate them Paint the ladyfingers with coffee combined with the liqueur using a pastry brush.
  • Line 4 martini glasses with a single layer of ladyfingers, letting the cakes overlap a bit at the bottom. Press the cakes down to fit the lines of the glass.
  • Beat Mascarpone and sugar together, 2-3 minutes and spoon into the glasses.
  • Top glasses off with a cap of coffee and liqueur-soaked ladyfingers.
  • Dust each completed dessert with cocoa powder combined with a touch of cinnamon.
