1 cup mayonnaise
1 can (4-1/4 ounces) chopped ripe olives
4 bacon strips, cooked and crumbled
1/4 cup chopped green onions
1-1/2 teaspoons minced fresh parsley or 1/2 teaspoon dried parsley flakes
30 slices snack rye bread

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 450°. In a small bowl, combine the first six ingredients. Spread a rounded tablespoonful over each slice of bread. Place on an ungreased baking sheet. Bake 6-8 minutes or until cheese is melted.

2 stalks green onions
1 stick butter, at room temperature
1/2 cup mayonnaise
12 ounces Monterey Jack cheese, grated
1 loaf crusty French bread, sliced lengthwise

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 325 degrees F.
  • Roughly chop both the black olives and pimiento-stuffed green olives. Slice the green onions into thin pieces.
  • Combine the butter, mayonnaise, cheese, olives and green onions in a mixing bowl. Stir together until thoroughly combined.
  • Spread the mixture onto the French bread. Bake until the cheese is melted and browning, 20 to 25 minutes.

  • Reserve 16 whole olives for garnish. Chop remaining olives; place in medium bowl. Add Cheddar cheese, mayonnaise, cream cheese and red pepper; beat with electric mixer on medium speed until well blended.
  • Spread about 2 tablespoons cheese mixture on 8 of the bread slices. Top with remaining bread slices. Cut each sandwich diagonally in half.

2 cups grated cheddar cheese
1/2 cup soft butter
1 cup unsifted all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon paprika
1 jar stuffed green olive

Steps:

  • Mix together all the ingredients except the olives.
  • It will be a thick mixture.
  • Drain at least 48 stuffed green olives.
  • Wrap approximately 1 teaspoon of the cheese mixture around each olive, to completely cover it.
  • Flash freeze covered olives at least 20 minutes.
  • Store in a freezer bag until ready to serve.
  • Bake on an ungreased cookie sheet at 400F for about 15 minutes.

1 tablespoon poppy seeds
TOPPING:
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
1 cup sliced pimiento-stuffed olives
1/3 cup butter, melted
1 large egg, beaten
1 tablespoon dried minced onion
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce

Steps:

  • In a large bowl, dissolve yeast from hot roll mix in warm water. Add the egg, butter, cheese and poppy seeds. Add flour from mix; blend well. Press into a greased 15x10x1-in. baking pan. Cover and let rise in a warm place until doubled, about 45 minutes. Combine topping ingredients; spread over dough. , Bake at 400° for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
