Cherry Lime Sparkler Recipes

SPARKLING CHERRY LIMEADE.

Steps:

• Place the sugar, lime juice, and the pitted cherries in a blender. Blend on high speed until smooth.
• If you like, you can strain the cherry mixture through a fine mesh sieve, to remove any small pieces of cherries. I didn't do this, and didn't find the bits of cherries bothersome.
• Divide the cherry lime syrup evenly among four glasses with ice. Pour about 9 ounces of sparkling water into each glass and stir. Top each glass with a cherry if you like.

SPARKLING CHERRY LIME SODA

Steps:

• Add the sugar, water and 1/4 cup of the lime juice to a small saucepan. Bring to a boil, stirring until the sugar dissolves. Remove from heat and let cool.
• Add a few ice cubes to two chilled highball glasses. To each glass, add 2 ounces of the lime simple syrup and 1 tablespoon of the remaining lime juice. Divide the grenadine between the glasses and top off with club soda.
• Garnish with a lime wheel and 1 or 2 maraschino cherries.

CHERRY-LIME SHRUB

Steps:

• Finely grate zest from lime. Place zest and cherries in a sterilized pint jar. Bring vinegar just to a boil; pour over fruit, leaving ¼-in. headspace. Center lid on jar; screw on band until fingertip tight. Refrigerate for 1 week., Strain vinegar mixture through a fine-mesh strainer into another sterilized pint jar. Press solids to extract juice; discard remaining fruit., Bring sugar and water to a boil. Reduce heat; simmer until sugar is dissolved. Cool slightly. Stir into vinegar mixture; shake well. Store in the refrigerator up to 2 weeks. , To serve, drink 1-2 tablespoons or add to a glass of ice, top with sparkling water and garnish with fresh cherries and lime.

HOMEMADE CHERRY LIMEADE

Steps:

• Warm the water and sugar over medium heat, stirring occasionally until the sugar has dissolved.
• Add the halved cherries, and steep for an hour at room temperature.
• Transfer to a mason jar and store in the fridge.
• Don't forget to keep the cherries in the syrup-they make a great garnish!
• Pour the lemon lime soda, lime juice and cherry syrup over crushed ice.
• Stir.
• Top with a cherry (fresh or one of the ones from the cherry syrup) and a lime wedge.
• Enjoy immediately!

TACO BELL LIMEADE SPARKLER

Steps:

• Place one teaspoonful of frozen limeade in each of 6 glasses. We also like to mix the flavors, a little limeade and a little cherry or raspberry to make it less sour.
• Recover frozen limeade cans and store in freezer for future use.
• Add crushed ice to each glass, to the top.
• Pour lemon-lime soda in each glass, pouring on the side of the glass to keep it fizzy. Do NOT stir. Leave the limeade flavoring on the bottom so it will look pretty and taste great.
