CHERRY PRETZEL DESSERT
This is a very easy to make dessert that is good for a group. It has the right combination of sweet and salty!

Steps:
- In a large bowl, combine pretzels, sugar and margarine.
- Set aside 1/2 cup for the topping.
- Press the remaining mixture into an ungreased 13x9 pan.
- In a mixing bowl, beat whipped topping mix, milk, and vanilla at high speed for about 4 minutes or until soft peaks form.
- Add cream cheese and confectioners sugar and beat until smooth.
- Spread half of the mixture over the crust.
- Top with cherry pie filling and the remaining cream cheese mixture.
- Sprinkle with the reserved pretzel mixture.
- Refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight.
CHERRY PRETZEL DESSERT RECIPE
Crispy pretzel crust topped with layers of cream cheese and cherries. A yummy dessert that is a perfect end to any meal or just a nice treat with a hot cup of coffee.

Steps:
- Mix the pretzel, sugar and melted butter together; reserve 1/2 cup of mixture and set aside. Pour into a 9 x 13 baking dish. Press evenly into the bottom. Place the cream cheese and powdered sugar in a mixing bowl; beat until smooth. Fold in the whipped cream. Spread half over the pretzel crust. Spread the pie filling over the cream cheese and then spread the other half of cream cheese over the pie filling. Sprinkle the reserved pretzels over the top of the dessert. Cover and refrigerate for 4 hours or overnight.
BLACK CHERRY LAYERED PRETZEL DESSERT
Steps:
- HEAT oven to 375 degrees F. Pour cola in microwave-safe measuring cup or bowl. Let stand, stirring occasionally, while preparing crust. Combine crushed pretzels, sugar and butter until moistened. Press evenly in 8x8-inch baking pan. Bake 10 to 12 minutes or until lightly toasted. Cool completely.
- MICROWAVE cola on HIGH 2 minutes or until boiling. Pour over gelatin in medium bowl. Stir gently 2 to 3 minutes until gelatin is dissolved and foam disappears. Stir in black cherry topping. Chill 10 to 15 minutes or until just slightly thickened.
- MEASURE 1 1/4 cups whipped topping in small bowl. Add 1/2 cup gelatin mixture, stirring until evenly blended. Spread over cooled pretzel crust. Chill 10 minutes. Spoon remaining gelatin mixture over whipped topping layer. Chill 1 hour or until firm. Top with remaining 1 cup whipped topping.
CHERRY PRETZEL DESSERT
I love this pretzel dessert. My aunt makes it every year at Thanksgiving and Christmas. It works great with strawberry and blueberry pie filling as well.

- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
- Mix pretzels, melted butter, and sugar together in a bowl; press into the bottom of a 13x9-inch baking dish.
- Bake crust in preheated oven until lightly browned, about 10 minutes. Remove to cool completely.

- In a large bowl combine the crushed pretzels, granulated sugar, and melted butter together. Press the mixture evenly into the bottom of a 9×13 baking dish. Place in the refrigerator while you prepare the filling.
- In the bowl of your stand mix together the cream cheese and powdered sugar until creamy and combined. Fold in the whipped topping until evenly incorporated.
- Spread half of the cream cheese mixture onto the pretzel crust. Spread the cherry filling evenly on top of the cream cheese layer. Carefully spread the remaining cream cheese mixture on top of the cherries. The cherry mixture will swirl into the cream cheese mixture, this is fine!
