This energy bar recipe is quick to make and easy to store. My husband and I put these homemade granola bars in our lunch, but they're also a nice portable breakfast or snack. -Sharon Rast, Show Low, Arizona

Steps:
- In a large bowl, combine the cereal, oats and wheat germ. In a small saucepan, combine the corn syrup, peanut butter and brown sugar. Cook over medium heat until peanut butter is melted, stirring occasionally. Remove from the heat. Stir in vanilla. Pour over cereal mixture; mix well., Transfer to a greased 9-in. square pan. Gently press cereal mixture evenly into pan. Cool completely. Cut into bars.

Steps:
- Place the almonds into a food processor. Pulse (starting and stopping every couple seconds) until you have a mixture of chopped almonds and almond meal.
- Add the shredded coconut, flaxseed meal and salt. Pulse a couple of times, just until uniform. (Do not overmix.)
- Add the peanut butter, syrup, and vanilla. Pulse again until just combined. (Again, do not overmix.)
- Use a spatula to fold in the chocolate chips and press them into the mixture.
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Use a small cookie scoop and your hands to form the mixture into 1-inch balls and place on the parchment paper. Enjoy right away, refrigerate, or freeze.

Steps:
- Spray 24 standard-size muffin cups with cooking spray.
- Combine flour, protein powder and salt in a large bowl. Add oats, cinnamon, brown sugar and raisins. Mix with hands.
- Pour yogurt into a small bowl. Whisk in oil and add to dry ingredients, then mix with hands or a spoon.
- Spoon 1 1/2 tablespoons of batter into each muffin cup and pat into place.
- Bake at 375°F for 12 to 15 minutes, until brown around the edges. Transfer to rack and cool at least 10 minutes.

CHEWY ENERGY BARS
This is from a Company's Coming cookbook. The recipe looks like it might be similar to a fruity nut bar that I enjoy from Starbuck's. I haven't tried it yet so let me know how it turns out...

Steps:
- Combine first 7 ingredients in large bowl.
- Heat and stir corn syrup, margarine and peanut butter in small saucepan on medium for 3-5 minutes until margarine is melted and mixture is hot but not boiling.
- Add to rolled oats mixture. Mix well.
- Line 8x8 inch (20x20 cm) pan with foil, leaving 1 inch (2.5 cm) overhang on 2 sides.
- Grease foil with cooking spray.
- Press mixture evenly in pan. Cover.
- Chill for about 1 hour until firm.
- Holding foil, remove mixture from pan. Discard foil.
- Cut mixture in half. Cut each half crosswise into 5 bars.
- Press bottom of each bar in pumpkin seeds in small shallow dish until coated.
- Wrap bars individually in pastic wrap.
- Store at room temperature for up to 2 weeks or freeze for up to 3 months.
