4 boneless chicken breast cut in 1 inch cubes
3/4 cup pickle juice
1/3 cup milk
2 tsp powdered sugar
2 tsp salt
2 tsp black pepper
1 tsp garlic powder
2 tbsp olive oil

Steps:

  • Place all the ingredients except the olive oil in a gallon size bag. Shake to combine all the ingredients.
  • Allow to marinate for at least 20 minutes but overnight in the refrigerator is ideal.
  • Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat for a few minutes.
  • Place the chicken on the heat pan and cook for approximately 4-6 minutes on each side of the chicken until the chicken is cooked through.
  • Serve with our copycat chic-fil-a sauce and enjoy!

1 Pound Boneless, skinless chicken breasts cut into small pieces
1/2 Cup Dill Pickle Juice
1/4 Cup Milk
2 Teaspoons Powdered Sugar (yes, really!)
1 1/2 Teaspoons Salt
1 Teaspoon Black Pepper
1/4 Teaspoon Garlic Powder or Garlic Salt
1/4 Teaspoon Paprika
1/4 Teaspoon Seasoned Salt
A Drizzle of Olive Oil or Sunflower Oil

Steps:

  • First, start by cutting up your boneless skinless chicken breasts. You want to make sure they are bite-sized. Also, this is a good time to remove any fat from the chicken and discard it.
  • Next, take your chicken and place it into a large baggie or bowl along with the pickle juice and milk. Allow to marinate for a minimum of 30 minutes although overnight is ideal.
  • Next, remove your chicken from the mixture and lay onto paper towels. Pat dry. Drain the excess milk and pickle juice.
  • Next, heat your saucepan to medium-high and drizzle in some olive oil or sunflower oil.
  • Now, add your powdered sugar, salt, pepper, garlic powder, paprika, and seasoned salt into a bowl with the chicken. Combine.
  • Now, throw your chicken into the heated pan and cook about 8-10 minutes while constantly tossing to cook evenly. Depending on your stove, you may need more time to cook to ensure it's cooked throughly.
  • Once cooked, remove from heat and serve up with some homemade honey mustard sauce. You can of course, use up all those extra sauce packets you have lying around!

2 pounds boneless skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
1 tablespoon dill pickle juice
1/2 cup cornstarch
1 tablespoon soy sauce
1 large egg white
1/8 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon pepper
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon paprika
1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
DIPPING SAUCE:
1/4 cup Dijon mustard
3 tablespoons barbecue sauce
2 tablespoons honey
Oil for frying

Steps:

  • In a bowl, add chicken and pickle juice; toss to coat. Marinate at room temperature for 30 minutes. Meanwhile, combine the next 8 ingredients to form a thick batter. Add batter to the chicken mixture and toss to coat. , For dipping sauce, combine mustard, barbecue sauce and honey; set aside. , In a deep skillet or electric skillet, heat 1 inch oil to 375°. Fry chicken pieces, a few at a time, until browned and juices run clear, 1-2 minutes on each side. Drain on paper towels. Serve with sauce.

2 chicken bouillon cubes
2 1/4 teaspoons Season-All salt, divided
2 cups boneless skinless chicken breasts (Cubed)
1 cup flour
1 1/2 cups cracker meal
1/4 teaspoon paprika

Steps:

  • Place cool water in bowl. Add 1/4 teaspoon season-all and dissolve bouillon cubes in mixture.
  • Place cubed chicken in water, mix, cover and place in refrigerator for 12 hours or next day.
  • When ready to cook nuggets, mix flour, cracker meal, 2 teaspoons season-all and paprika in bowl.
  • Heat oil for deep frying. Drain chicken. Coat nuggets in flour, cracker mixture and fry until golden. Chicken will be flavorful and juicy.

After looking on the internet for days for a Chick-Fil-A copycat and finding only plain old fried chicken recipes, I decided to try and imitate it myself. It came out pretty darn close I think! There are two crucial ingredients chick-fil-a uses that most recipes dont have- pickle juice and sugar. They also use MSG- but its also ok without it if you dont like it. Just cut up the breasts into chunks and follow recipe for nuggets. (Edit: I also have to say I love Chick- Fil-A and that I think they're a great company. I encourage anyone to visit if they can, the staff is always so nice and polite at every location I've been to! Its just too bad they don't have more locations!)

4 chicken breasts
1 cup pickle juice (use dill pickles, great way to use up that empty jar!)
2 eggs
1 cup flour
2 tablespoons sugar
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon paprika
1/2 teaspoon pepper
1/2 teaspoon msg (Accent, leave it out if you prefer)
1/2 teaspoon oregano
1/2 teaspoon basil
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon onion powder
peanut oil

Steps:

  • Pound chicken breasts till they are thin enough for your taste. (I find a lot of breasts are really too thick for a sandwich so I pound out the thick part a little) Cut into chunks if you want nuggets.
  • Place chicken in plastic bag with pickle juice and marinate for an hour (preferably overnight).
  • Mix up eggs in seperate bowl for the egg wash.
  • Mix flour and remaining spices in another shallow bowl.
  • Remove chicken from the pickle juice maranade and drain well. Dip into the egg wash and then into the flour mixture.
  • Fry the chicken however you prefer here. I pan fried mine in a few tablespoons of oil and it turned out fine. Chick-Fil-A deep fries theirs in a pressure cooker, so you can try that if you are feeling adventurous.
