- Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
- Combine flour, cocoa powder, salt and baking soda in a bowl. In a bowl of an electric mixer, or with a handheld mixer, combine butter and sugars until fluffy. Add egg, vanilla, and wine and combine. Slowly in batches add the flour mixture until just combined. Fold in the chocolate and cherries. On a nonstick cookie sheet, place a heaping tablespoon of dough for each cookie about 2 inches apart from each other. Bake 8 to 10 minutes, or until tops are still soft looking but edges look firm.

Steps:
- In large bowl, combine powdered sugar, butter, cherry liquid, almond extract and food color; blend well.
- Lightly spoon flour into measuring cup; level off.
- Add flour and salt; mix well.
- Stir in cherries.
- If dough is too dry, add a little more cherry liquid until dough holds together when shaped.
- Shape dough into 1-inch balls.
- Place 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheets.
- Bake at 350 degrees F for 10 to 12 minutes or until edges are just slightly brown.
- Immediately top each cookie with a chocolate candy, pressing down firmly.
- Remove from cookie sheets and cool.

- Shape dough into 2-inch balls. On ungreased cookie sheet, place balls 2 inches apart; flatten slightly. Insert craft stick halfway into each ball.
- Bake 13 to 14 minutes or until set. Cool 2 minutes; remove from cookie sheet to cooling rack. Cool completely.
- In small microwavable bowl, microwave chocolate uncovered on High about 1 minute or until softened and chocolate can be stirred smooth. - In a large bowl, cream butter and sugar. Beat in the egg, cherry juice and vanilla. Combine the flour, cocoa, salt, baking powder and baking soda; gradually add to the creamed mixture., Roll into 1-in. balls. Place 2-in. apart on ungreased baking sheets. Using the end of a wooden spoon handle, make an indentation in the center of each. Place a cherry half in each indentation., In a small saucepan over low heat, melt chocolate chips with milk, stirring constantly. Remove from the heat; stir in cherry juice until blended. - Heat oven to 350°F. Make and bake cake mix as directed on box for 13x9-inch pan, using water, oil and eggs. Cool completely.
- Line cookie sheet with waxed paper. Crumble cake into large bowl. Add frosting; mix well. Shape into 28 (1 1/2-inch) balls, placing cherry in center of each and covering cherry completely. Place on cookie sheet. Freeze until firm. When cake balls are firm, transfer to refrigerator.
- In medium microwavable bowl, microwave candy coating on Medium (50%) 1 minute, then in 15-second increments, until melted; stir until smooth. Remove several cake balls from refrigerator at a time. - In a large bowl, whisk together the pudding mix and 3 cups milk until smooth and well combined. Stir in the chopped chocolate. In another medium bowl, whisk to combine Cool Whip with 1/4 cup milk. In another small bowl, whisk to combine cherry preserves and 2 tablespoons water.
- Spoon a tablespoon of the pudding into each popsicle mold and top with a spoonful of whipped topping. Pour the pudding mixture halfway up the molds and add a spoonful of preserves. Top off each with remaining pudding, insert popsicle sticks and freeze until firm, at least 6 hours or overnight.
- Unmold and garnish with shaved chocolate and fresh cherries.

- Heat oven to 190C/fan 170C/gas 5. Beat the butter, sugars and egg until smooth, then mix in the flour, chocolates and cherry pieces and ½ tsp salt. Spoon onto non-stick baking sheets in large rough blobs - you'll get 20 out of this mix. Make sure they are well spaced as the cookies grow substantially as they bake. The raw dough can be frozen.
- Bake for 12-14 mins until just golden, but still quite pale and soft in the middle. If baking from frozen, give them a few mins more. Cool on the sheets for 5 mins, then lift onto racks with a fish slice and leave to cool completely.

- Cut each of 2 cherries into 6 pieces; reserve for later use. Cut remaining cherries in half.
- Mix cream cheese and cookie crumbs until blended. Shape into 12 (1-inch) balls, using a level tablespoon for each. Use your finger to press indentation into center of each cookie ball.
- Insert a cherry half into each indentation; reroll ball to completely enclose cherry with cream cheese mixture. Place on a waxed paper-covered baking sheet. Freeze 15 minutes.
- Microwave chocolate in microwaveable bowl on HIGH for 30 seconds; stir. Microwave 30 seconds more; stir. Continue heating and stirring in 10-second increments until completely melted.
- Dip each ball in chocolate using a fork, letting any excess drip back into the bowl; return to baking sheet. Top immediately with reserved cherry pieces and sprinkles. Refrigerate 15 minutes or until chocolate is firm.
