These are really good chewy chocolate cookies! This recipe came from on the container of Hershey's baking cocoa.

Yield 4 1/2 dozen cookies

Number Of Ingredients 8

1 1/4 cups butter, softened
2 cups sugar
2 large eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla
2 cups flour
3/4 cup hershey cocoa
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt

Steps:

  • Cream butter and sugar in large bowl.
  • Add eggs and vanilla; blend well.
  • Combine flour, cocoa, baking soda and salt.
  • Blend into creamed mixture drop by teaspoonful onto ungreased cookie sheet bake at 350° for 10 minutes (Do not over bake. Cookies will be soft. They will puff during baking, flatten upon cooling.) cool on cookie sheet until set, about 1 minute remove to wire rack to cool.

  • Bake 11 to 13 minutes or until almost no indentation remains when touched lightly and tops are crackled. Cool slightly. Remove from cookie sheet to wire rack. Cool completely.
