Steps:
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease cookie sheets.
- In a medium bowl, stir together the cake mix, eggs and oil until well blended. Fold in the chocolate chips. Roll the dough into walnut sized balls. Place the cookies 2 inches apart on the cookie sheet.
- Bake for 8 to 10 minutes in the preheated oven. Allow cookies to cool on baking sheet for 5 minutes before removing to a wire rack to cool completely.

- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease cookie sheets.
- In a medium bowl, cream together the butter, white sugar and brown sugar until smooth. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla and food coloring. Mix in the chocolate hazelnut spread. Combine the flour, baking powder, and baking soda; stir into the sugar mixture until just blended. Fold in chocolate chips. Drop dough by spoonfuls 2 inches apart onto the prepared cookie sheets. These cookies spread.
- Bake for 8 to 10 minutes in the preheated oven. Allow cookies to cool on baking sheet for 5 minutes before removing to a wire rack to cool completely.

CHOCOLATE FUDGE COOKIES
Steps:
- Mix together flour and baking powder and set aside.
- Bring a pan of water to a boil and remove from heat. Combine chocolate and butter in a heat proof bowl and set over pan of water, stirring occasionally until melted.
- In a large bowl, whisk eggs with salt , then whisk in both sugars. Whisk in chocolate mixture, then rum.
- Stir in flour to form a soft dough. Scrape dough onto a piece of plastic wrap and wrap tightly. Chill 2 hours.
- Set racks in upper and lower thirds of the oven and preheat to 350 degrees. Flour your hands and rool the chilled dough into 2-teaspoon balls. They don't have to be too neat. - Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Line 2 baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In the bowl of a stand mixer fitted with the paddle attachment, mix the butter, granulated sugar and brown sugar until fully combined. Add the eggs and mix to combine. Add the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda and salt and mix. Add the pecans and both chocolate chips; mix until just combined.
- Drop heaping tablespoons of dough onto the baking sheets. Bake, rotating the sheets once halfway through, until the cookies are set, about 12 minutes. Transfer to a rack to cool. Repeat with the remaining dough.

Karo recipe that adds chocolate to all those wonderful thumbprint cookies. I looked through all 'zaar had, but didn't see one with chocolate and using Karo corn syrup.

Steps:
- Preheat oven 325 degrees.
- Mix margarine, light brown sugar, and vanilla till smooth.
- Beat in 1/2 cup corn syrup and egg.
- Blend in 3 cups of flour and salt, adding more flour if necessary to make dough.
- You can refrigerate at this point for 48 hours.
- Roll dough into 1 inch balls, roll in nuts to coat.
- Place on ungreased sheet 2 inches apart. Press thumb into ball.
- Fill with prepared filling:.
- Warm 1/3 cup light corn syrup in saucepan or carefully in microwave.
- Add chocolate chips; heat and stir till melted and mixed.
- Let cool till you can handle it easily. Then put into pastry bag or sealable bag. (Cut SMALL snip from bottom corner).
- Fill hollow thumbprints with chocolate mix.
- Bake 10-12 minutes or till firm.
- Cool on wire rack.

- Position 1 rack in top third and 1 rack in bottom third of oven and preheat to 350°F. Coat 2 large rimmed baking sheets with nonstick spray. Place 1/2 cup chocolate chips in small microwave-safe bowl. Cook in 15-second intervals until chocolate softens; stir until melted and smooth. Cool chocolate to lukewarm, about 10 minutes. Whisk 1/2 cup sugar, cocoa, and cornstarch in small bowl to blend.
- Using electric mixer, beat room-temperature egg whites, vanilla, 1/8 teaspoon salt, and cream of tartar in medium bowl until soft peaks form. Add remaining 1 cup sugar in 4 additions, beating just to blend after each addition. Continue to beat until meringue is thick and glossy like marshmallow creme, about 2 minutes longer. Beat in cocoa mixture. Fold in melted chocolate, then 1/2 cup chips.
- Drop batter by rounded tablespoonfuls onto prepared sheets, spacing 3 inches apart. Bake cookies 7 minutes. Reverse sheets and bake until dry-looking and cracked, about 6 minutes. Cool cookies on sheets 5 minutes. Transfer cookies to racks and cool completely.

- Mix the cocoa, caster sugar and oil together. Add the eggs one at a time, whisking until fully combined.
- Stir the flour, baking powder and a pinch of salt together in a separate bowl, then add to the cocoa mixture and mix until a soft dough forms. If it feels soft, transfer to the fridge and chill for 1 hr. Heat the oven to 190C/170C fan/gas 5. Tip the icing sugar into a shallow dish. Form a heaped teaspoon of the dough into a ball, then roll in the sugar to coat. Repeat with the remaining dough, then put, evenly spaced, on a baking tray lined with baking parchment.
