CINNAMON CREAM SYRUP

Cinnamon cream syrup is excellent with pecan French toast!

5 tablespoons butter
1 cup heavy cream
3 tablespoons brown sugar
½ teaspoon maple flavored extract
½ teaspoon ground cinnamon

Steps:

  • In a small saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Stir in cream, brown sugar, maple extract and cinnamon. Cook, whisking constantly, until sugar dissolves and mixture thickens slightly, about 3 to 4 minutes. Serve warm.

2 tablespoons honey or 2 tablespoons molasses
1/4 cup Egg Beaters egg substitute
1 cup Splenda granular
1/4 teaspoon vanilla
1/8 teaspoon salt

Steps:

  • Combine all ingredients except for the bread in a shallow dish.
  • Whisk to combine.
  • Place the bread in the batter, allowing it to sit and absorb the batter for a few moments, then flip and let the other side get well coated.
  • Place bread on heated skillet, cook on both sides until the batter glazes.
