Cilantro And Coriander Seed Naan Bread Recipe

Ingredients:

  1. bread flour
  2. plain yogurt
  3. coriander seed
  4. fresh coriander
  5. water
  6. dried yeast
  7. salt
  8. vegetable oil
  9. cilantro

Steps:

  1. dry roast the seeds until aromatic
  2. crush them coarsely using a mortar and pestle , or use that coffee grinder that has been lying around unused for a while now :)
  3. put them into a pan with the water and bring it to a boil
  4. set aside
  5. put the yogurt into another bowl , add the yeast
  6. pour the seeds+water mixture and stir well
  7. add 1-1 / 2 cups of flour and stir it well until blended
  8. cover the bowl and let it prove for 30minutes
  9. then add the salt , oil and the remaining flour
  10. knead it well on a lightly floured surface until smooth and place it back in the bowl
  11. cover it and let it double - approx 1 hour
  12. then punch it down , turn it down on a lightly floured surface and slowly add in the chopped cilantro into the dough
  13. divide the dough into small balls and then using a rolling pin , roll it out into oblong shapes
  14. on a skillet , place the naan , brush it with little oil
  15. once its done on one side , turn it the other side
