I am not a big fry fan, but this treatment of frozen steak fries was delicious. I added more garlic to mine because I love garlic. The preparation was fast and the potatoes were ready in no time at all. A way to bring more flavor to a standard food items, plus they looked just great

cooking spray
1 bunch fresh cilantro
2 garlic cloves
1 (28 ounce) bag steak-style French fries, thawed
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 tablespoon kosher salt

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 450 degrees F. Grease a baking sheet with nonstick cooking spray.
  • Combine the cilantro and garlic in a food processor and process until combined.
  • Toss the potato wedges with the cilantro-garlic mixture and the olive oil, coating evenly. Spread the potatoes wedges onto the prepared baking sheet and bake for 20 minutes, flipping the potatoes after 10 minutes to crisp on the other side. Season the potatoes with the salt and serve.

There's nothing better than freshly garlic and cilantro seasoned homemade fries to elevate an everyday snack to haute cuisine heights! You really need these cilantro fries in your life.

6 Yukon gold potatoes peeled and cut into thin strips
2 tablespoons avocado oil
1/2 teaspoon Himalayan pink salt
1 tablespoon nutritional yeast flakes
1/4 cup cilantro finely chopped
3 cloves garlic minced

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 425℉. Prepare a baking sheet by lining it with parchment paper and lightly spraying or brushing with oil. Set aside.
  • Add potato strips with enough water to cover and soak for 30 minutes in a large bowl. This will remove excess starch from the potatoes and result in crispier fries.
  • Drain and rinse the fries, then dry them with a clean kitchen towel or paper towel.
  • Toss the fries with olive oil, sea salt, and nutritional yeast flakes.
  • Spread in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet. Bake for 35 minutes, flipping after 15 minutes, or bake until golden and crispy.
  • Remove fries from the oven and transfer them into a large bowl. Toss fries with cilantro and garlic.

3 large potatoes, julienned
3 cups chopped fresh cilantro
salt and pepper to taste

Steps:

  • Heat oil in deep-fryer to 365˚F (185˚C). Place 1/3 potatoes in the fryer, and fry for about 5 to 8 minutes, or until almost done. Add 1/3 cilantro, and continue frying for 1 minute. Remove from oil, and drain on paper towels. Skim off any remaining cilantro. Repeat with remaining ingredients. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Cut the potatoes into fries and place in a bowl of cold water to soak for a few minutes. Drain the water and dry the fries with paper towel. Once dry, toss the fries with the olive oil, garlic powder, salt and pepper. Lay on a baking sheet in a single layer, preferably one that has a cooking rack so the fries can have the air circulating all around them (and no need to flip.) Bake for 20-25 minutes depending on your oven and how crispy you like your fries. If using a baking sheet without a rack, halfway through the cooking time, flip the fries. Once done, toss fries with cilantro in a bowl. Enjoy by the handful!
