Apple Breakfast Bake image

This delicious apple breakfast bake is filled with those comforting flavors of fall - apples, cinnamon, walnuts and raisins. It comes together very easily and provides enough to feed a small group. Perfect for your holiday breakfast table or any time of year!

½ cup milk
½ cup all-purpose flour
½ teaspoon baking soda
3 large eggs
1 teaspoon granulated sugar
¼ teaspoon salt
3 tablespoons butter
¼ cup granulated sugar
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
2 medium golden delicious apples (Peeled, cored and sliced.)
⅓ cup raisins
⅓ cup chopped walnuts
¼ cup granulated sugar
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
2 tablespoons butter (Diced.)

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 400°F (204°C).
  • In a medium bowl, combine the milk, flour, baking soda, eggs, sugar, and salt together.Stir until smooth. Set aside.
  • In a medium 9-inch diameter cast iron skillet over low-medium heat, melt butter.
  • Add sugar, cinnamon, apples, raisins, and walnuts. Saute until soft, but not mushy, about 5 minutes. Optional: Use a wooden spoon to arrange apple slice, raisins & walnuts in the bottom of skillet.
  • Pour batter over the top and bake for 10 minutes.
  • Meanwhile, in a small bowl, combine sugar and cinnamon.
  • Remove skillet from the oven and dot with butter and sprinkle cinnamon sugar mixture over the top. Bake for another 10-15 minutes.Serve warm with whipped cream.

1/2 cup light brown sugar
1 (21 ounce) can apple pie filling
2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla
1 (12 ounce) can refrigerated biscuits
1/2 cup chopped nuts

Steps:

  • In saucepan, melt butter, stir in brown sugar, apple pie filling, cinnamon and vanilla.
  • Spread half of the apple mixture in a 2-quart shallow baking dish.
  • Separate biscuits; cut each into quarters.
  • Arrange pieces, Points Up, over mixture.
  • Spoon remaining mixture over biscuits; sprinkle with nuts.
  • Bake at 350 degrees for 35-40 minutes.
  • Let stand 5 minutes.
  • Serve warm.

8 slices cinnamon bread
2 each Golden Delicious apples - peeled, cored, and chopped
4 large eggs, lightly whisked
1 cup half-and-half
½ cup milk
1 tablespoon white sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon
¼ teaspoon ground nutmeg
½ cup unsalted butter, at room temperature
½ cup packed light brown sugar
½ cup chopped pecans
2 tablespoons maple syrup
¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon
¼ teaspoon ground nutmeg

Steps:

  • Spray an 8x8-inch baking dish with cooking spray to coat. Layer 4 slices bread on the bottom of the baking dish; sprinkle with 1/2 of the apples. Repeat layers.
  • Combine eggs, half-and-half, milk, sugar, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and nutmeg in a bowl. Mix well. Pour over the bread. Cover with foil and refrigerate, 8 hours to overnight.
  • Pull out of the refrigerator 1 hour before baking.
  • Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C). Mix butter, brown sugar, pecans, maple syrup, cinnamon, and nutmeg together in a bowl. Spread over the top layer of apples.
  • Bake in the preheated oven until puffed and golden, 30 to 40 minutes.

This gooey, refrigerated cinnamon roll dish layered with homemade spiced apples is good for breakfast, brunch, or dessert.

3 medium Granny Smith apples, peeled and diced
½ cup brown sugar
½ cup maple syrup, divided
3 teaspoons ground cinnamon, divided
½ teaspoon ground nutmeg
½ cup milk
2 large eggs
2 (17.5 ounce) cans refrigerated cinnamon roll dough with icing

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
  • Place diced apples in a large skillet over medium heat with brown sugar, 1/2 cup maple syrup, 2 teaspoons cinnamon, and nutmeg. Mix together and simmer until apples are tender, 10 to 15 minutes. Drain apples and set aside.
  • Meanwhile, whisk milk, eggs, and remaining 1 teaspoon cinnamon together in a bowl.
  • Open 1 tube cinnamon rolls; set icing aside. Cut each cinnamon roll into 6 pieces. Place all pieces into the milk mixture and mix around until fully covered. Remove from the milk mixture and press into the bottom of the prepared baking dish.
  • Evenly place spiced apples on top of the cinnamon roll layer. Open remaining tube of cinnamon rolls and repeat step 4 (cutting and coating cinnamon rolls), then press on top of the apples to form a top layer. Drizzle remaining 1/4 cup maple syrup over top.
  • Bake in the preheated oven until the top is golden brown and puffy, 30 to 35 minutes.
  • Heat 2 icing packets in the microwave for 5 to 10 seconds; drizzle over the casserole. Serve immediately.

2 tablespoons butter

3 stale cinnamon bagels, cubed
¼ cup chopped pecans, or more to taste

Steps:

  • Grease an 8-inch square baking dish.
  • Place apples, butter, brown sugar, 1/2 tablespoon cinnamon, and salt into a skillet over medium heat. Saute until sugar bubbles, about 5 minutes. Set aside.
