SOUTHERN COLESLAW
Classic southern coleslaw is the creamiest coleslaw ever! Sweet and tangy with a rich dressing. Be sure to keep it refrigerated or on ice if you're eating outside. This contains mayo and summer heat doesn't play well with it.

- Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours.
- Serve ice cold.

COPYCAT KFC COLESLAW: THE REAL THING
I am an avid collector of recipes. A young lady, a former KFC employee, was looking at my recipes one evening when she discovered this one. She told me that the recipe was close, but that I should remove the vinegar and lemon juice and replace them with tarragon vinegar. Tarragon vinegar is the secret. Note: This is one of the recipes I adopted in the Great 'Zaar Orphan Adoption of 2005. I hope you enjoy it.

Steps:
- Start by shredding and dicing the cabbage and carrot respectively, in its finest means possible.
- You should then mix all of the vegetables in a huge mixing bowl for it not to get messy.
- Third, you should have a medium-sized mixing bowl where you would put the whisk with its dressing ingredients.
- Fourth, you should put all the vegetables needed in the bowl and stir them up using a wooden spoon.
- Next, you should always keep your bowl wrapped in a saran always covered.
- For optimal results, you should place the finished product inside the fridge and keep it there for approximately four hours, which is preferred to be done overnight.
- Finally, before serving your coleslaw, mix and stir it again.
- Serve fresh for best results.

KFC EASY COPYCAT COLESLAW
I got this recipe off the internet, but haven't tried it yet. I liked the idea that it didn't call for buttermilk, which I never have on hand, but usually have sour cream. Wanted to post it here for easy access. Cooking time is refrigeration time. BTW, I realize that I could make homemade copycat buttermilk, but there's too much redundancy, with the milk and vinegar already in this recipe.

Steps:
- Place coleslaw in non-reactive bowl.
- Whisk together sugar and next seven ingredients thoroughly, plus onion if using.
- Pour over coleslaw mix and stir to coat. May add paprika at this point, if desired.
- Refrigerate at least 2 hours before serving.
- Note: Mix may seem dry at first, but will loosen up after cabbage reacts to the dressing and releases it's moisture. Also, when I've made my traditional coleslaw recipe, I grate my onion, because I don't like the minced bits.

KFC COLESLAW COPYCAT RECIPE
Now, we always try and get our recipes tasting as close to the real thing as we can. This KFC coleslaw however tastes identical to original. That's right, done correctly (and it's hard to get this simple recipe wrong) this will taste exactly as you remember it. It sure is a bold claim, but this is one of our best recipes on this website. Go ahead, give it a go! Top tip - Always prepare this coleslaw well in advance of when you are going to use it. You should leave the mixed coleslaw at least 3-4 hours to allow all of the dressing to soak into the carrots and cabbage. var cid = '6585054725'; var pid = 'ca-pub-2431274322782160'; var slotId = 'div-gpt-ad-fastfood_recipes_com-box-3-0'; var ffid = 1; var alS = 1002 % 1000; var container = document.getElementById(slotId); container.style.width = '100%'; var ins = document.createElement('ins'); ins.id = slotId + '-asloaded'; ins.className = 'adsbygoogle ezasloaded'; ins.dataset.adClient = pid; ins.dataset.adChannel = cid; if(ffid == 2){ ins.dataset.fullWidthResponsive = 'true'; } ins.style.display = 'block'; ins.style.minWidth = container.attributes.ezaw.value + 'px'; ins.style.width = '100%'; ins.style.height = container.attributes.ezah.value + 'px'; container.appendChild(ins); (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); window.ezoSTPixelAdd(slotId, 'stat_source_id', 44); window.ezoSTPixelAdd(slotId, 'adsensetype', 1); var lo = new MutationObserver(window.ezaslEvent); lo.observe(document.getElementById(slotId + '-asloaded'), { attributes: true });

- Using a food processor, chop cabbage, pulsing until finely chopped. It might be helpful to work in small batches to make sure the cabbage isn’t pulverized but just chopped up into small squares. The same can be done with the carrot. Place cabbage and carrot in a medium bowl.
- In a separate small bowl, combine the rest of the ingredients. Mix until smooth. Pour over cabbage/carrot mixture and stir. Don’t be concerned if it seems a bit dry at first. The moisture from the cabbage will be drawn out before too long.
- Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving. This allows for the dressing as well as the moisture from the cabbage to meld well. Stir before serving.

- KFC's Coleslaw Style. The unique thing about KFC's coleslaw is the size and texture as you can see in the picture on the left. It's very finely diced and doesn't have the long 'strands and strings' of cabbage you find in many grocery store coleslaw mixes.
- Gather Your Ingredients. Here's what you'll need: 3/4 cup Mayonnaise. 6 Tablespoons Sugar. 5 teaspoons White Vinegar. 2 teaspoons Apple Cider Vinegar.
- Combine and Whisk. Add all the ingredients to a bowl, except the coleslaw mix. Whisk the ingredients with a wire whisk or a fork until you have a smooth dressing.
- Finished Dressing. Your finished dressing should resemble this picture when it's mixed well.
- Mix. Combine the dressing and coleslaw and mix and fold until it's thoroughly coated.
- Refrigerate. After everything is mixed place your coleslaw in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours so the flavors come together. Making it in the morning and refrigerating it until dinner works great.
- Dig in. Enjoy your coleslaw with anything from fried chicken to ribs to hot dogs and make sure you give a salute to ' The Colonel '. Participated in the.
