Salmon Dip with Cream Cheese image

6 ounces cream cheese, softened
3 tablespoons mayonnaise
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon curry powder
1/4 teaspoon dried basil
1/8 teaspoon pepper
1 can (7-1/2 ounces) salmon, drained, bones and skin removed
2 green onions, thinly sliced
Crackers and chopped vegetables

Steps:

  • In a bowl, combine the cream cheese, mayonnaise and lemon juice. Add the salt, curry powder, basil and pepper; mix well. Gently stir in salmon and onions. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour. Serve with crackers and vegetables.

8 ounces cream cheese, at room temperature
1/2 cup sour cream
1 tablespoon freshly squeezed lemon juice
1 tablespoon minced fresh dill
1 teaspoon prepared horseradish, drained
1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
1/4 pound (4 ounces) smoked salmon, minced

Steps:

  • Cream the cheese in an electric mixer fitted with a paddle attachment until just smooth. Add the sour cream, lemon juice, dill, horseradish, salt and pepper, and mix. Add the smoked salmon and mix well. Chill and serve with crudites and/or crackers.

If you prepare it a day ahead of time, use fewer seasonings (salt, pepper, horseradish, Worcestershire, etc.) and adjust seasonings to your taste before serving.

1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 dash pepper (black or white)
1 dash Tabasco sauce or 1 dash cayenne pepper (optional)

Steps:

  • In a small bowl, mix cream cheese and sour cream until smooth.
  • Add the rest of the ingredients and mix well.
  • Taste, and adjust seasonings to your preference.
  • Chill well before serving.

This recipe is close to my favorite appetizer from my favorite restaurant in Anchorage, Alaska. It's creamy and delicious served with thinly sliced crusty bread.This is different from most crab dips posted here because it doesn't call for cream cheese.

Steps:

  • Mix all ingredients well. Bake in a 1 quart dish at 350* for 8-10 minutes. Serve hot.

1 8oz Package of Adler Smoked Salmon Lox
8 oz Small Cooked Shrimp (1 or 2 cans to taste works well drained)
8 oz Fresh Crabmeat (1 can works as well drained)
1/2 onion (cut in chunks for processor, dice as small as possible if using hand mixer)
1 TBSP Capers (drained)
1/4 C Heavy Cream
Fresh Dill To Taste

Steps:

  • Put All Ingredients Into A Food Processor* With The Blade Attatchment, Process On Low Speed Until Desired Consistency. Excellent On Bagels. Also As A Dip With Pita Chips, Bagel Chips Or Crackers.
