CHOCOLATE CHIP CREAM CHEESE BREAD

1 stick butter (softened)
8 oz cream cheese
1 1/4 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 t. vanilla
2 c. flour
1 t. baking powder
1/4 t. salt
1/4 c. milk
1 1/2 c. chocolate chips

Steps:

  • Mix together all the ingredients except for the flour and the milk.
  • Add 1 cup of flour and 1/8 c. milk. Mix well, then add in the second cup of flour and the rest of the milk. Whipping this dough mixture with the hand mixers isn't completely necessary, but it will give it a slightly less dense texture. It tastes good either way!
  • Pour the mixture into 2 greased loaf pans or 4 mini loaf pans.
  • Bake at 350F for about 30 minutes for mini loaves or 40-45 minutes for a big loaf. (This recipe will make 4 mini loaves or 1 to 2 large loaves, depending on the size of your loaf pan.)

Here's what you need: biscuit dough, cream cheese, chocolate chip, white sugar, cinnamon, butter, brown sugar, walnuts

32 oz biscuit dough, 2 16 oz containers, 16 big biscuits total
8 oz cream cheese
chocolate chip, we used dark chocolate
1 cup white sugar
2 teaspoons cinnamon
½ cup butter
1 cup brown sugar
½ cup walnuts, optional

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350˚F (175˚C)
  • Cut biscuits in half and cube the cream cheese (32 pieces).
  • Flatten each biscuit and place one cube of cream cheese and a few chocolate chips in the center of each. Fold the biscuit dough around the cream cheese and chocolate and form into a ball.
  • In a large plastic bag combine white sugar and cinnamon. Add 6-8 dough balls to the bag, seal the bag, and shake until well coated. Repeat for the remainder of the stuffed dough pieces.
  • In a microwave safe bowl add brown sugar and butter. Microwave on high for 70 seconds - stopping halfway to stir. Remove from microwave and stir until it reaches a caramel consistency.
  • In a greased bundt pan, sprinkle half of the walnuts, half the dough pieces, and drizzle half the caramel glaze. Repeat with remaining walnuts, dough, and glaze.
  • Bake for 30-35 minutes.
  • Remove from oven and turn upside down onto a plate to cool for 10 minutes before lifting off the pan (this way the warm glaze runs back through and fully coats all the bread)
  • Enjoy!

2 cups flour
4 eggs
12 ounces chocolate chips
8 ounces cream cheese
1 1/2 cups sugar
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 cup butter (approximately one stick) or 1/2 cup margarine (approximately one stick)

Steps:

  • Let butter/margarine and cream cheese come to room temperature.
  • Mix thoroughly in good-sized bowl.
  • Add sugar and mix thoroughly.
  • Add eggs and mix.
  • Add flour and baking powder at the same time, and mix.
  • Add chocolate chips and mix.
  • Grease 2 standard-sized loaf pans.
  • Add batter into the 2 pans.
  • Bake at 350° for 45 to 60 minutes (cooking time will vary from oven to oven).
  • Test with a toothpick poked in the center- if it comes out without batter clinging to it, it's done.
  • Enjoy!

¼ teaspoon sea salt
½ cup chocolate chips

Steps:

  • In a large mixing bowl or in a powerful blender (like a Blendtec), whip together butter, cream cheese, sugar, eggs, vanilla, and milk.
  • Add flour, baking powder, and salt.
  • Fold in chocolate chips.
  • Pour batter into a well-buttered 9" loaf pan.
  • Bake in a 350 degree oven for 45-55 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the middle comes out clean.
