CREAMY MUSHROOM RICE IN THE RICE COOKER

Steps:
- Place all ingredients *EXCEPT half and half and sour cream* in rice cooker. Cook as directed for white or brown rice. When cooking is completed, add half and half and sour cream (whisked together) replace lid and simmer for additional 10 minutes. Stir and enjoy!

ONE POT MUSHROOM RICE
Easy peasy mushroom rice made in one pot. Really! Even the rice gets cooked right in! It's so creamy and packed with so much flavor!

Steps:
- Heat olive oil in a large stockpot or Dutch oven over medium heat. Add garlic and onion, and cook, stirring frequently, until translucent, about 2-3 minutes. Stir in mushrooms, Worcestershire and thyme and cook, stirring occasionally, until mushrooms are tender and browned, about 5-6 minutes; season with salt and pepper, to taste. Stir in brown rice and vegetable broth. Bring to a boil; cover, reduce heat and simmer until rice is cooked through, about 40-45 minutes. Stir in butter until melted, about 1 minute. Serve immediately, garnished with chives, if desired.
CREAMY MUSHROOM RICE IN RICE COOKER

MUSHROOM RICE II (RICE COOKER)
This recipe is from a good friend, and is absolutely delicious rice. I made this yesterday as a side dish and the family devoured it, they said, this is a keeper. I use my small 1 quart basic Cook/Warm rice cooker for this.

- Quickly rinse then slice the mushrooms, not too thin though. If using Shiitake, remove the stems and just use the caps. Then prep the onion, garlic, and spring onion, I used Shiitake mushrooms because they are flavorful and less expensive than button mushrooms. If you like mushrooms, feel free to use more.
- Heat 2 tablespoons of oil in your rice cooker pot set on Cook function. When hot, add the mushrooms, season with salt and pepper as desired and cook until browned, stirring often.
- Add another 1 tablespoon of oil plus the butter. When the butter is melted add the garlic and onions, cook for about about 3-4 minutes or until the onion is softened, stirring often.
- Add the stock and rice to the pot and mix together. Add the cover to the rice cooker pot and let the Cook function now complete its cycle.
- When the rice cooker switches to Warm setting, quickly remove the lid, dump in the spring onion, and place the lid back on and let this sit for 10 minutes on Warm setting. No stirring, this will steam the spring onion.
- Unplug the cooker, fluff rice, and optionally stir in more butter if desired.
- Serve as a side dish, enjoy.
CREAM OF MUSHROOM RICE
A very delicious rice dish. I like it because it taste really good and I don't even like cream of mushroom, but it's good like this. I got it from my mother-in-law

Steps:
- First start cooking your rice.
- Add butter into your rice as it is cooking.
- Do not add salt.
- if you do only add a pinch of salt.
- Then cook your cream of mushroom soup, add little to no milk or water.
- You want your cream of mushroom soup to be like gravy and not soup.
- Use Cambell's soup as it's the best for this.
- When it's all done mix the rice and soup together.
- You can also mix in canned peas, but that is optional.
- Now you can dish it up and eat, but be careful dish is very hot and may burn your mouth.
