Air Frying Chicken drumsticks are the best way to make them. Crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside, these flavorful chicken drumsticks make the perfect meat dish to go with your favorite sides!

6 chicken drumsticks
2 teaspoons avocado oil
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon paprika
1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)

Steps:

  • If the chicken drumsticks are wet, place the legs on a plate and pat them dry with a paper towel. If they don't have too much excess moisture, there is no need to dry them first.
  • Place the drumsticks in a medium-sized mixing bowl and add in the oil, salt, pepper, paprika, garlic powder, and cayenne pepper (optional). Toss until the chicken drumsticks are evenly coated in the oil and spices.
  • Preheat the air fryer to 400 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Once heated to temperature, place the chicken drumsticks in the air fryer tray. They should be in a single layer on the tray to make sure that they cook evenly and air fry to a nice crisp. If your air fryer is too small to accommodate this amount of drumsticks, cook them in two batches.
  • Cook the chicken for a total of 20-22 minutes. Flip the drumsticks over after about 10 minutes. Since every air fryer is different (and the drumsticks might be slightly different sizes), your total cooking time may vary.
  • Once the chicken drumsticks are cooked through and crispy on the outside, remove them from the tray. Serve them with a side like rice, fried potatoes, or French fries.

Crispy air fryer chicken drumsticks that are tender, juicy on the inside and seasoned to perfection. These Chicken legs have no breading and yet have nice and crispy skin. Thanks to the addition of baking powder to the spice blend. This recipe is ready in 30 mins! Just in time for dinner.

8 chicken drumsticks
1 Tablespoon oil
1 teaspoon ground Paprika
1/2 teaspoon ground Cayenne
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/4 teaspoon white pepper
1 1/2 teaspoon chicken bouillon

Steps:

  • Wash and drain chicken. Then dry thoroughly with paper towel.
  • Mix spices and baking powder together. Add oil to chicken then add the spices-baking powder blend
  • Massage into the chicken till all drumsticks are well coated
  • Let it marinade for about 20 mins.
  • Arrange in your air fryer, set temperature to 400 °F / 204°C and cook for 25-30 mins or until internal temperature reads 165°F / 74°C. Remember to flip chicken legs half way through cooking time.
  • Serve

Crispy Air Fryer Chicken Drumsticks with no breading are as crispy and juicy as any deep fried version you'd want to sink your teeth into but without all the grease! A tasty dinner served in just 20 minutes and any sauces on the side are optional!

2 lbs chicken drumsticks (8 pieces)
1 tbsp oil
1 tsp paprika (regular or smoked)
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp ground black pepper

Steps:

  • Preheat air fryer to 380 degrees F for 5 minutes.
  • In a large bowl, add chicken drumsticks, oil, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt and pepper. Using your hands or tongs, mix well to coat evenly.
  • Place chicken drumsticks in an air fryer basket and cook at 380 degrees F for 10 minutes. After, turn on another side and cook for another 7 minutes or until juices run clear and instant read thermometer registers 165 degrees F.
  • Serve immediately while hot and crispy.

This is super and makes a juicy and delicious chicken. The basting mixture is a win and adds an excellent flavor to the crispy skin. You can modify this for a whole bird, you will need to add more cooking time and you are going to want to truss your chicken to make sure the legs and wings are tucked in. (Google it, it's way easier than you think.)

1 tablespoon ground paprika
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon onion powder
1 teaspoon garlic powder
½ teaspoon dried marjoram
½ teaspoon ground sage
½ teaspoon ground black pepper
⅛ teaspoon ground nutmeg
2 (8 ounce) bone-in, skin-on chicken breast halves
¼ cup coconut oil, at room temperature
2 tablespoons dry sherry
2 tablespoons lime juice

Steps:

  • Mix paprika, salt, onion powder, garlic powder, marjoram, sage, pepper, and nutmeg together in a small bowl. Spread spice rub on all sides of chicken breasts and under the skin.
  • Preheat an air fryer to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C) according to manufacturer's instructions. Mix coconut oil, sherry, and lime juice together in a small bowl; set aside.
  • Place chicken, breast-side down, in the air fryer basket and cook for 15 minutes. Brush chicken with reserved basting oil. Flip chicken, reduce heat to 360 degrees F (182 degrees C), and cook for another 15 minutes. Baste chicken again with remaining oil and cook until no longer pink at the bone and the juices run clear, 6 to 12 more minutes. An instant-read thermometer inserted near the bone should read 165 degrees F (74 degrees C).
