CRISPY BAKED APPLE CHIPS
Crispy Baked Apple Chips are a delicious, healthy snack that is easy to make. Once you make them, you will want to make them again and again!

Steps:
- Preheat your oven to 200°F. Cover two baking sheets with parchment paper and set aside.
- Wash and thinly slice the apples, about 1-2 mm thick.
- Lay them on the covered baking sheet in a single layer.
- Mix together the cinnamon and granulated sugar in a bowl and sprinkle over the apple slices.
- Bake them for an hour. Turn them over and bake for another hour. If they do not seem crispy, then bake an additional 15 minutes.
- Turn off your oven and keep them in there for at least an hour. (This helps them become crispier.)
- Keep them covered in an airtight container for up to one week.

BAKED APPLE CHIPS

Steps:
- Preheat the oven to 200 degrees F. Line 4 baking sheets with parchment paper.
- Use an apple corer to remove the seeds and cores of the apples. Trim a small sliver off the bottom of each apple to create a flat bottom, so that they can't roll.
- Cut the apples into thin slices, about 1/8-inch thick. Place the apple slices in a large mixing bowl. Pour in the lemon juice and toss gently to combine.
- Combine the sugar and cinnamon with a pinch of salt in a small mixing bowl. Sprinkle over the apples and toss gently to evenly coat all of the slices.
- Spread the apples in an even layer over the prepared baking sheets, being sure that the slices don't touch.
- Bake until the edges curl and the apples become crispy, about 2 hours. Lift the chips off the parchment with an offset spatula and store in an airtight container.

- Arrange apples slices on a metal baking sheet.

- Preheat your oven to 200° and line 2 rimmed, metal baking pans with a silicone mat or parchment.
- Thinly slice the apples (no more than 2.5 millimeters thick) into a bowl.
- Squeeze lemon juice over top and toss to coat. This step is optional.
- On the prepared pans, arrange apple slices in an even layer.
- Bake in your preheated oven for 1 hour. Use oven mitts to remove the pans.
- Carefully flip each apple slice and bake for another hour.
- If after 2 hours, the apples are firm but still a little bit soft, they can crisp up out of the oven while cooling. However, if the apple slices are too thick, they will need longer in the oven. I recommend to continue baking at 15 minute increments.

- Combine the sugar and cinnamon in a small bowl. Put the apple peels in a separate bowl and add a few drops of water (this will help the cinnamon sugar stick). Add the cinnamon sugar to the peels and toss to coat. Transfer the peels to the prepared baking sheets, making sure they are in a single layer.
- Bake until crisp, about 1 hour. Let cool before using a thin spatula to slide them off the parchment.
